A method of implanting a continuous iris-expanding ring in an eye involves ejecting the continuous iris-expanding ring from a distal end of a cannula toward an iris of the eye, securing a distal portion of the continuous iris-expanding ring device ring to the iris of the eye, and securing a proximal portion of the continuous iris-expanding ring to the iris of the eye. The continuous iris-expanding ring is in a collapsed configuration in the cannula prior to being ejected and in an expanded configuration when the proximal portion and the distal portion of the continuous iris-expanding ring are secured to the iris of the eye and extend across the pupil.

The cross-linking agent is transmitted through the disrupted area at a greater rate relative to non disrupted areas of the cornea. The example treatments deliver photoactivating light to the cornea. The photoactivating light activates the cross-linking agent to generate cross-linking activity in the cornea.

The barrel is configured to contain medicament and includes at least a portion of a piston and an elastomeric member. The piston is configured to move the elastomeric member within the barrel in response to a force produced by the energy storage member. The hub is coupled to a distal end portion of the barrel. An inner surface of the hub defines a nozzle through which the medicament flows when the elastomeric member moves within the barrel. The nozzle and the energy storage member are collectively configured to produce a fluid jet to access a target location within an eye.

Methods of treating glaucoma include programming a fiber probe to deliver a number of shots from an excimer laser. The fiber probe is inserted into an eye of a subject having glaucoma and adjusted to a position transverse to Schlemm's canal in the eye. A plurality of shots is applied from the excimer laser source while the probe is in the transverse position, thereby treating glaucoma by creating a plurality of perforations in Schlemm's canal and/or the trabecular meshwork.
