Methods and systems for providing augmented reality content for treatment of macular degeneration

Configurations are disclosed for a health system to be used in various healthcare applications, e.g., for patient diagnostics, monitoring, and/or therapy. The health system may comprise a light generation module to transmit light or an image to a user, one or more sensors to detect a physiological parameter of the user's body, including their eyes, and processing circuitry to analyze an input received in response to the presented images to determine one or more health conditions or defects.

OPHTHALMIC DRUG DELIVERY

The present invention includes and provides a method of delivering a medicament to an eye of a subject in need thereof a solution, the method comprising: (a) providing droplets containing the medicament with a specified average size and average initial ejecting velocity, and (b) delivering the medicament to the eye, where the droplets deliver a percentage of the ejected mass of the droplets to the eye.

An eye dropper includes a nozzle secured to a reservoir. The nozzle includes a sleeve that extends around the center and has a first zone, a second zone, and a third zone, having corresponding first, second, and third expansion pressures at which the first, second and third zones separate from the center. The second pressure is less than the first expansion pressure and the third expansion pressure is less than the second expansion pressure. The third expansion pressure may be less than the first expansion pressure. A notch in the sleeve may receive a ridge on the center. The zones may be positioned over a groove in the center or extend completely around a center that is cylindrical or frusto-conical in shape. Multiple instances of first, second and third zones may be distributed along the center. The sleeve may be made of a more flexible material than the center.

An injection device and method are shown. Devices and methods include a forceps and a needle advancement mechanism to clamp a portion of tissue and control a depth of penetration of the needle between gripping ends of the forceps. An injection device and method are shown where selected components of the injection device such as a syringe and forceps are disposable, while the remaining portions of the injection device are reusable. Devices and methods are shown that utilize micro-needles to control a depth of penetration.

An improved eye drop dispenser apparatus having a suspension frame or tip configured for retention of an eye drop. The eye drop is suspended on the suspension frame by surface tension and adhesion forces of the liquid, with the suspension frame held proximate to the eye of a user or patient. The eye drop contacts the eye, with the surface tension causing the drop to transfer to the eye. The dispenser apparatus is configured to connect to an eye drop reservoir either by positioning into the opening in the eye drop bottle in a neck of the bottle, by positioning over the exterior of the neck of the eye drop reservoir, or by positioning over a pre-existing dispenser tip of the eye drop reservoir.
