Active dichoptic perceptual-learning tasks or dichoptic game play have been shown to significantly improve visual acuity of amblyopic children and adults. However, these dichoptic perceptual learning tasks are intensive and repetitive such that non-compliance is high. In contrast, the invention provides dichoptic perceptual learning in a manner that the user maintains its use and compliance is increased. Further, compliance becomes automatic if the user performs tasks in a normal manner and forgets that they are actually undergoing treatment as it is integrated with minimal disruption to their life and activities. Accordingly, a methodology exploiting complementary dichoptic simulation is presented.

Goggles for receiving at least one radiation protection material
10617371 · 2020-04-14 · ·

The present invention relates to goggles, in particular radiation protection goggles, for receiving at least one radiation protection material which protects the eyes of a patient from radiation being harmful to the eyes, in particular -radiation and/or x-ray radiation and/or gamma radiation. The goggles comprise: two goggle frames, each having a continuously circumferential side wall structure completely enclosing an area around the respective eye of the patient, a length-adjustable connection element between the two goggle frames in the area of the patient's nose in order to change the distance between the two goggle frames relative to one another, and at least one length-adjustable holding element for fixing the two goggle frames at the patient's head. The side wall structures are configured for receiving at least one radiation protection material substantially completely around its circumference.

In an infrared camera configuration, a modular goggle assembly can diagnose patients having vestibular dysfunction, concussion, or other maladies observable with an examination of the eyes. In a virtual reality display configuration, the assembly can be used to provide treatment to patients once the cause of the illness or malady is determined. The assembly is lightproof, mobile, and easily configurable.

GOGGLE DEVICE AND SPECTACLE FRAME THEREOF
20200085624 · 2020-03-19 ·

The present disclosure discloses a goggle device and a spectacle frame thereof. The spectacle frame includes a buckling structure arranged on an end portion thereof. The buckling structure has an accommodating space and an entrance in spatial communication with the accommodating space. The buckling structure includes a cantilever arranged in the accommodating space and a retaining wall that is arranged in the accommodating space and is spaced apart from the cantilever. A free end portion of the cantilever is arranged adjacent to the entrance, and the cantilever is rotatable between a lock position and an unlock position. When the cantilever is at the lock position, the free end portion shields the entrance. When the cantilever is rotated to the unlock position by an external force, the free end portion does not shield the entrance, and the cantilever is deformed to store an elastic force.

A medical face guard (1) includes: a frame (10) to be worn on a head of a medical worker; a polarization shield (20) attached to the frame (10) so as to cover at least a front of eyes of the medical worker and transmitting only light in a predetermined polarization state; and a face shield (30) that is transmissive and has a low birefringence index, the face shield (30) being attached to the frame (10) so as to cover at least the front of the eyes of the medical worker, and positioned in front of the polarization shield (20) in a frontward direction with respect to the eyes.

Safety Eyewear for Reclining and Supine Positions

Safety eyewear that is particularly suitable for patients undergoing medical or dental procedures in reclining or supine positions is disclosed. The safety eyewear has a frame configured to rest over a face. The frame includes a pair of lenses separated from one another by a bridge. The lenses may be configured to block certain harmful wavelengths of light used in dental curing lights, patient overhead lights, and lasers. One of both of the frame and the pair of lenses may curve in a posterior direction along inferior edges so as to terminate closely proximate to the face. Left and right temple arms extend generally straight in the posterior direction from respective left and right sides of the frame. A nasion pad is coupled to the bridge of the frame and extends in the posterior direction from the bridge to make contact with the patient's nasion.

EYE PROTECTION DEVICE

An eye protection device including a first transparent substrate, a second transparent substrate, and a high reflection interference film is provided. The second transparent substrate is opposite to the first transparent substrate. The high reflection interference film is disposed on the first transparent substrate or the second transparent substrate.
