DIVING MASK SYSTEM
A diving mask system is disclosed comprising a faceplate having a lateral partition on an interior surface delineating an upper and lower section, the lower section comprising a region that extends away from the upper section and includes at least one cutout section fitted with a complementary-shaped flexible insert that enables a user to grasp the nose. The faceplate further includes a flexible tubular insert defining a passageway extending through the faceplate to a lower chamber. The tubular insert has a distal end dimensioned to fit and seal onto the mouthpiece receiver tube of a conventional second stage scuba regulator permitting the mask to be scuba enabled. A quick-release clasp mechanism attached to the mask's elastic retention straps is also disclosed.
The faceplate further includes a rigid annular support frame either bonded to or extending out from a backside of said flange, the frame being configured within the outer periphery of said flange. A flexible annular sidewall skirt is attached to the support frame. The flexible skirt includes a lateral nose piece section attached to the partition. The lateral nose piece section having an inlet aperture and check valve for inhaled air, and an orifice through which an exhalation conduit having a separate check valve extends from the lower chamber to a snorkel device forming a passageway for exhaled air to pass through the upper chamber to the snorkel device. A quick-release clasp mechanism attached to the mask's elastic retention straps is also disclosed
GOGGLE WITH REPLACEABLE LENS
A goggle may include a goggle frame, a lens assembly magnetically coupled to the goggle frame, and first and second retention features securing the lens assembly to the goggle frame at first and second locations, respectively, to resist decoupling of the lens assembly from the goggle frame. The lens assembly may be removable from the goggle frame by actuating only one of the first retention feature or the second retention feature. A method of removing a lens assembly from a goggle frame may include actuating a first latch securing the lens assembly to the goggle frame; after actuating the first latch, pivoting the lens assembly away from the goggle frame about a second latch securing the lens assembly to the goggle frame; and after pivoting the lens assembly, laterally translating the lens assembly away from the second latch without actuating the second latch.
Ostomy Pouching System
An ostomy pouching system is described. A baseplate includes a seal adapted to be securely placed on the skin about the perimeter of tissue defining a stoma incised into a patient. An ostomy reservoir forms a sealed space within which discharge can be received and held. A flex layer includes a seal that is airtight, watertight, or both, and which is structurally interposed between at least a portion of two or more of the skin, tissue, stoma, baseplate, and ostomy reservoir. The flex layer includes a resiliently and elastically malleable phase change material. The flex layer is deformable such that at least one portion of the flex layer can transmute the magnitude of a force applied to the flex layer and redirect the force. External forces acting upon at least one of the skin, tissue, stoma, baseplate, and ostomy reservoir are mitigated, transmuted, and isolated by the flex layer.
EYEGLASSES
The invention relates to eyeglasses having two lens units that are fitted with a device for keeping the eyeglasses on a wearer's head. The eyeglasses having a nose bridge that connects the two lens units and includes a central portion to be disposed about the wearer's nose At least one of the lens units has a duct inside to which a lateral portion of the nose bridge is slidingly mounted using a mechanism for adjusting the position of the lens unit relative to the nose bridge. The adjusting mechanism has a member that is rotatably mounted in the duct. The member and the lateral portion of the nose bridge comprise a coupler designed to convert the rotation of the member into a relative translational movement between the lateral portion and the duct.
Protective face shield assembly
A protective face shield assembly is provided. The example protective face shield assembly includes a protective element, a frame, and a face seal. The frame defines a continuous inner frame edge and a continuous outer frame edge. The face seal includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and two side portions as a continuous unit, defining a continuous inner face seal edge and a continuous outer face seal edge. The continuous inner face seal edge is removably affixed against the continuous inner frame edge. The continuous outer face seal edge encapsulates an elastic band that fits against at least a front half portion of the head and face of a user. The face seal contains one or more layers of filter medium suitable for removing particulate matter from the air that flows from exterior air space and into interior air space.
WEARABLE ASSEMBLY
In one embodiment, a wearable assembly that includes a plurality of components is provided. The components include an eyepiece assembly fittable over a portion of a wearer's face, the eyepiece assembly including one or more strands, at least a portion of the eyepiece assembly including a phase change material, wherein a shape of the eyepiece assembly changes upon an application of an energy to the phase changing portion to one or more of conform and contour to one or more features of the wearer's face; and nosepiece connected to the eyepiece assembly.
Heated goggle device
The heated goggle device is an easy to use at home dry eye treatment device that uses moist heat to alleviate symptoms caused by MGD and Blepharitis. The goggles include an elastic strap, which is used to affix a pair of heated eyecups over each eye. Electric heaters are attached to the outside of each eyecup, while the inside consists of a raised lattice designed to retain liquid using surface tension. Heat transferred to the inside of the eyecup vaporizes liquid to create a moist warm environment, which is effective in relieving symptoms of dry eye. The user can see through the device during treatment to perform stationary activities such as reading/watching television. Having the eyes open allows the moist heat to directly contact the opening of the oil glands and the action of blinking during a moist heat treatment performs a continuous massaging effect.
ELECTRIC GOGGLES FOR PREVENTING FOGGING IN COLD WEATHER CONDITIONS
A pair of electric goggles is disclosed. The goggles include a conductive lens mounted onto a frame adapted to be electrically connected to an electric socket in order to raise the temperature of the lens, when powered. The goggles are provided with a strap for attaching to a helmet, the strap has a strap clip designed to have the electric socket attached thereto. The electric socket is meant to be electrically connected to a power supply via a power cable. With the combination of a strain relief clip located below the electric socket, the power cable can be positioned in a predetermined configuration which unencumbers the user from the power cable when detaching or removing the goggles.
Goggles for snowsports
A goggle for use in snowsports including a flexible frame and a lens assembly, magnets or magnetic elements being provided on upper and lower edges of an inner surface of the lens assembly and magnets or magnetic elements being provided in corresponding positions on an outer surface of the frame, for releasably holding the lens assembly in the frame, and at least two releasable clips being provided on the frame, the clips being movable between a released position and an engaged position, the clips in the engaged position overlying a portion of the lens assembly and each clip including at least one retaining member which in use passes into an aperture at least part way through the lens assembly, in a direction substantially perpendicular to the surface of the lens assembly, for preventing or limiting movement of the lens assembly in a direction away from the lateral side of the frame.
