Smart safety helmet with heads-up display
A safety system is configured to be worn by a user. The safety system includes a helmet, a transparent display screen coupled to the helmet and configured to provide eye safety for the user, the transparent display screen configured to display graphical information to the user in substantially real time. According to one embodiment, if a hazard is identified in a first route, the apparatus communicates an identification of the hazard for display to the user via the transparent display screen. Further, if the hazard is identified in the first route, the apparatus communicates an identification of a second route for display to the user via the transparent display screen, the second route avoiding the hazard with each of the first route and the second route rendered in the transparent display screen. According to various embodiments, the apparatus operates in substantially real time to evaluate conditions in the first route based on information provided by the at least one sensing system to determine whether the hazard exists.
Light-Shielding Body Structure And Novel Eyeshade Structure
Present invention teaches a light-blocking (shielding) structure, as well as a novel eye mask, that has a base with two light-shielding bodies, with additional area supports, to effectively blocks light from the gaps around the mask, pad or patches, by using flexible materials that can contour or conform to the shape of a human nose, thus creating a better darkness effect to enhance quality sleep experience.
Helmet-based System for Improved Practice Efficiency and Athlete Safety
A system is provided for use by athletes and their coaches during practice. The system includes an electronic system configured for inclusion in a helmet. The electronic system includes a transparent display screen coupled to the helmet, a processor coupled to the transparent display screen, a camera coupled to the processor and a first wireless transceiver coupled to the processor. The system also includes a handheld processing device. The handheld processing device includes a second wireless transceiver configured to communicate video content with the first wireless transceiver, an interactive display screen configured to display the first video and a video editing application configured to edit the first video to generate a second video including a simulated player technique superimposed in the first video. The second video is communicated from the handheld processing device to the electronic system for display to the athlete via the transparent display screen.
Enhanced optical and perceptual digital eyewear
Improved wearable optics is disclosed. The wearable optics comprises a frame member and a lens. The wearable optics also includes circuitry within the frame member for enhancing the use of the wearable optics. A system and method in accordance with the present invention is directed to a variety of ways to enhance the use of eyeglasses. They are: (1) media focals, that is, utilizing the wearable optics for its intended purpose and enhancing that use by using imaging techniques to improve the vision of the user; (2) telecommunications enhancements that allow the eyeglasses to be integrated with telecommunication devices such as cell phones or the like; and (3) entertainment enhancements that allow the wearable optics to be integrated with devices such as MP3 players, radios, or the like.
Medical Headgear
An earcup for a medical headgear includes a body and a gasket attached to the body and formed of an open-cell foam. The earcup with the body and the gasket is a frequency-dependent auditory filter providing sound attenuation generally increasing as a function of frequency.
COMBINATION SLEEP EYE MASK AND FACE MASK
A combination sleep eye mask and face mask for covering both the eyes and mouth for improved sleeping conditions and privacy in public includes an eye mask body having an outer side, an inner side, an eye portion, a right extension, and a left extension. A first attachment mechanism is coupled to each of the right extension and the left extension and is selectively engageable to secure the eye mask body around a user's head. A face mask body has an outside surface, an inside surface, a right end, and a left end. The face mask body is configured to cover from below the user's nose to below the user's chin. A second attachment mechanism is coupled to each of the right end and the left end and is selectively engageable with the eye mask body to secure the face mask body below the eye mask body.
Motion sickness prevention eyewear
A motion sickness prevention eyewear presents a demarcation line in a field of view in a lens assembly. The demarcation line varies relative to the orientation of the eyewear to present a visual depiction corresponding to a natural horizon. The eyewear includes at least lens assembly that has an interior cavity defined between an inner lens, an outer lens, and a sidewall defined to join the lenses around the periphery of the lens assembly. A volume of liquid is carried in the interior cavity. The volume if liquid is responsive to changes in the orientation of the eyewear relative to the horizon.
Whole-Head Pillow
Disclosed is a pillow having a head portion having a head-shaped cavity sized in approximate proportions to receive a human head. The head portion has an inner surface, an outer surface, an open face, a left side, a left-side ear hole, a right side, a right-side ear hole, and an open bottom. There are a plurality of pads inside the head-shaped cavity that are selectively removable from the head-shaped cavity to accommodate a variety of head sizes and a washable liner covering the plurality of pads that is selectively removable from the pillow to accommodate laundering. The pillow has a neck portion extending from the open bottom and a circumferential pad on the outer surface of the head portion that is selectively removable to increase or decrease the size of the head portion.
Adjustable headwear visor
An apparatus for a baseball hat or golf visor comprised of a main body, which is made up of a top and a bottom creating a pocket. An extensible visor is placed within the main body. A centrally located slot within the lower portion of the pocket, and a stabilizing tab within the visor allows the visor to be extended or retracted as desired.
