Eyewear including a remote control camera
Eyewear is provided including a frame, and a camera connected with the frame, in which the camera is configured to be controlled by a remote controller. The camera may be configured to capture video and/or a photo. The eyewear may include data storage, and the camera may be connected to the data storage. A wrist watch may be configured to act both as a time piece and a controller of the camera. The eyewear may also include a heads up display and/or a video file player. The eyewear may also include an electro-active lens.
SMART WELDING HELMETS
Described herein are examples of smart welding helmets having a plurality of functions that go beyond conventional welding helmets. For example, a smart welding helmet may be configured to detect if/when the helmet surpasses one or more temperature thresholds, which may alert an operator if they have been welding too close and/or for too long. Other example smart helmet functions may include the ability to display (and/or otherwise output) feedback/guidance and/or welding information, as well as communicate with appropriate personnel. In some examples, the smart welding helmet may be configured to selectively enable/disable certain functions of the smart welding helmet to accommodate the needs of a particular operator and/or groups of operators.

SENSOR ASSISTED HEAD MOUNTED DISPLAYS FOR WELDING
Sensor assisted head mounted displays for welding are disclosed. Disclosed example head mounted devices include an optical sensor, an augmented reality controller, a graphics processing unit, and a semi-transparent display. The optical sensor collects an image of a weld environment. The augmented reality controller determines a simulated object to be presented in a field of view, a position in the field of view, and a perspective of the simulated object in the field of view. The graphics processing unit renders the simulated object based on the perspective to represent the simulated object being present in the field of view and in the weld environment. The display presents the rendered simulated object within the field of view based on the position. At least a portion of the weld environment is observable through the display and the lens when the display is presenting the rendered simulated object.

UPPER GARMENT WORN DURING OVERHEAD WELDING
Described is an upper garment worn by welders while welding overhead, which is made of a breathable fabric and leather. The garment has a hood comprising leather attached to the neckline of the garment body, at least one leather sleeve, and leather on one shoulder and an upper front portion and an upper back portion of the garment that is contiguous with the at least one leather sleeve. The hood may be partially or completely made of leather, and the other sleeve may be leather. The strategic placement of leather on the garment improves the garment's durability, minimizes burns on the wearer from sparks and spatter, and protects the garment from the environment.
WELDING HELMET
A welding helmet includes at least one helmet shell, fixing elements, a glare shield device and at least one protective screen spaced therefrom, and at least one display device for presenting data in the field of view of a welder, the at least one display device being arranged in the edge region of the field of view in the intermediate space between the glare shield device and the protective screen. The glare shield device has at least one cut-out in the area of the at least one display device. Because there is no glare shield device in the region of the display device, the view of the display device is not impeded by the glare shield device.
AUTOMATIC DARKENING FILTER WITH SIMPLIFIED SET-UP
The present disclosure relates to an automatic darkening filter 20 which is suitable for darkening for protection from light, in particular from high intensity light, with a simplified set-up, as well as to a set-up device 40 for setting up parameters of a such filter 20. The present disclosure also relates to a system 100, 100′ comprising such an automatic darkening filter 20 and such a set-up device 40, in particular a welding device 110. The present disclosure furthermore relates to a method for setting up such an automatic darkening filter 20 as well as to a headgear 10 with such an automatic darkening filter 20 and to a welding device 110 with such a set-up device 40.
Protector for welder
A protector for a welder includes a main body configured to cover a face and eyes of an operator; a darkening filter arranged in a front side of the main body and configured to protect the eyes of the operator; an image generator arranged in the main body and configured to generate image light; an optical path bender configured to change a proceeding path of the image light; and a combiner configured to generate a virtual image on an outer portion of the main body by projecting the image light, and arranged adjacent to the darkening filter.
