OPHTHALMIC SHIELD AND THERAPEUTIC METHOD
A method is disclosed, comprising obtaining at least one metric of an eye; and determining, based on the at least one metric of the eye, at least one parameter for manufacturing an ophthalmic shield to be worn on the eye. In some embodiments, the ophthalmic shield may have a minimum horizontal dimension of 18 mm and a minimum vertical dimension of 15 mm. In some embodiments, the ophthalmic shield may have a minimum horizontal dimension of 20 mm and a minimum vertical dimension of 17 mm. In some embodiments, the ophthalmic shield may have a minimum horizontal dimension of 26 mm and a minimum vertical dimension of 22 mm.
WELDING TOOL FOR PERFORMING SMAW OR MIG WELD WITH MANTENANCE OFA CONSTANT DISTANCE BETWEEN THE ELECTODE AND THE WELD AREA
A welding tool comprises a main body; a handle attached to the main body to be held by a welder; an electrode attached to the main body; an adjusting device for moving the consumable electrode forward/backward with respect to the main body; a control unit is connected to the adjusting device and is configured to act on the adjusting device for maintaining a substantially constant distance between the electrode and a weld area.

Eyewear including a detachable power supply and display
Eyewear is provided including a frame, and a camera connected with the frame, in which the camera is configured to be controlled by a remote controller. The camera may be configured to capture video and/or a photo. The eyewear may include data storage, and the camera may be connected to the data storage. A wristwatch may be configured to act both as a time piece and a controller of the camera. The eyewear may also include a heads-up display and/or a video file player. The eyewear may also include an electro-active lens.
WELDING HELMET CONFIGURATION PROVIDING REAL-TIME FUME EXPOSURE WARNING CAPABILITY
Welding helmets, systems, and kits providing real-time fume exposure monitoring and warning capability during an arc welding process. A welding helmet configured to protect the head of a user during a welding process is configured with an intelligent warning apparatus and an air-sampling pick-up and output port. The air-sampling pickup and output port connects to a proximal end of an air sampling tube for sampling breathable air within the welding helmet, and a distal end of the air-sampling tube connects to an air-sampling in-take port of an external aerosol monitoring device. The intelligent warning apparatus communicates with the aerosol monitoring device to receive air sample output data from the aerosol monitoring device, and to process the air sample output data to generate warning data and/or warning signals based on preset exposure level set points and/or exposure warning operating modes.

Respirator device with light exposure detection
A system including a head-mounted device having a face shield; a respirator coupled to or embodied in the head mounted device; a light having a light intensity; a light detector, and a computing device communicatively coupled to the at least one light detector that receive from the light detector data indicting a type and intensity of light, and determine that the light matches a particular type of light and whether it exceeds a threshold, and on the basis of this determination, modifies the intensity of the light.
Head support systems and methods for use
Systems and methods are provided for supporting a head of a user, e.g., while the user inclines their head downward, leans forward, and the like, for extended periods of time. In an exemplary embodiment, a harness is provided that is configured to be worn on a body of a user, the harness including a shoulder harness configured to be worn over or around one or both shoulders of the user, and a head support. The head support may include a support bracket including a first end mounted to the harness, and a rest member coupled to a second end of the support bracket such that the rest member extends across a forehead of the user and/or at least partially around the user's head when the harness is worn for supporting the user's forehead.
