Tactile pattern music generator and player
A device that produces patterned tactile sensations or events discernible to human touch from micro-actuators housed in a fabric, or other pliable material, where such actuated sensations or events are discernible by a user donning the fabric. The device is configured to convert electronically stored music or audio data into a sequence of patterned tactile sensations or events in a matrix across the fabric, providing a tactile representation of the music or audio data to the user. The discernible tactile sensations or events may alternately comprise retractable physical features, electric stimuli, and/or combinations of these.
Tinnitus treatment
A method of treatment of the symptoms of tinnitus is disclosed in which a non-sinusoidal pulsating electric waveform having a pulse repetition rate (frequency) less than 100 Hz is applied to a headphone or an earphone or a like acoustic transducer worn by a tinnitus sufferer. Square, sawtooth and triangular waveforms are suitable. Preferably a sequence of square, triangular, square and square waveforms each of duration of 3 minutes, and separated by a silent pause of 10-15 seconds, is applied. Various devices for applying such waveform(s) to such transducers are disclosed including a clinical oscillator, an internet distribution system, a playback device, electronic or magnetic storage devices, and a cochlear implant.
DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR TINNITUS TREATMENT
A tinnitus treatment device includes a database module storing a Shepard scale that includes multiple Shepard tones, and a playback control module configured to repeatedly execute a loop playback procedure. In the loop playback procedure, the playback control module reads the Shepard scale from the database module, and outputs the Shepard scale multiple times to an audio output device in a manner that the Shepard tones are outputted in order from high frequency to low frequency. The playback control module stops output of the Shepard scale for a resting-time interval after each execution of the loop playback procedure, and a length of the resting-time interval is equal to time taken for a single execution of the loop playback procedure.
Haptic Gloves for Enhanced Music Experience and Medical Applications
This invention relates to a set of haptic gloves embedded with a taptic engine that connects to an iPhone via Bluetooth. The gloves are designed to vibrate in synchronization with the haptic music feature on iPhones, providing an enhanced sensory experience for users, particularly benefiting those who are deaf or hard of hearing. Additionally, the invention has potential applications in the medical field, specifically for rehabilitation purposes.
Energy transmitting device and system to monitor and treat tinnitus
Disclosed is an energy transmitting device for use in a system to monitor and treat tinnitus, comprising: a first unit that produces energy for treating said tinnitus; and a second unit that is arranged to secure and fasten said first unit against a skin of said patient, wherein, when in operation, said first unit produces said energy based on a suggested treatment for transmission to said patient through bone conductivity for treating said tinnitus.
