Color printed laminated structure, absorbent article comprising the same and process for manufacturing the same
A process for manufacturing a disposable absorbent article is disclosed. The method includes providing a first layer having a first surface and an opposing second surface; color printing the first layer on at least one of the first or second surface; providing a second layer having a first and an opposing second surface; providing a topsheet, an absorbent core, and a backsheet; and placing the first layer and second layer between a topsheet and an absorbent core such that the color printing is visible through a wearer-facing surface of the disposable absorbent article.
Liquid detecting article and method of making same
A liquid indicating article is disclosed. It can have a single layer, but generally will have at least two layers bonded together, wherein a visible layer masks a second colored layer wherein the visible layer is a wicking material that becomes semitransparent when wet, wherein the colored layer is a permeable adhesive that bonds to the mask layer.
Reduced-pressure surgical wound treatment systems and methods
A reduced-pressure system for treating tissue, such as damaged subcutaneous tissue, includes a shaped dressing bolster for placing on the patient's epidermis and substantially sized to overlay the damaged subcutaneous tissue. The system further includes a sealing subsystem for providing a fluid seal over the shaped dressing bolster and a portion of the patient's epidermis, and a reduced-pressure subsystem for delivering a reduced pressure to the sealing subsystem. The reduced-pressure system may develop a force, which may include a vertical force that is realized at tissue site deeper than the epidermis or a closing force directed towards the incision. The shaped dressing bolster is shaped to evenly distribute the force. Other methods and systems are included.
Fabric sleeves covering toe and finger blemishes and treating said blemishes
A system is provided comprising a columnar sleeve of stretchable fabric, the sleeve produced in various skin tone colors and configured to slip upon an individual toe or finger and an absorbent padding configured for attachment to an inside surface of the sleeve, the padding configured to cover about one half of an interior circumference of the inside surface, the padding optionally infused with at least one of pain killers, antiseptics, and soothing gels. The system also comprises wax paper covering the padding prior to use of the sleeve, an applicator shaped to facilitate slipping the sleeve upon the individual toe or finger, and convex-shaped flex bands placed lengthwise into the sleeve. The flex bands exert downward pressure on one of a toe and a finger and are placed in a U-shape, thus promoting the downward pressure.
WOUND CARE SYSTEM FOR NEGATIVE PRESSURE THERAPY
A wound care system for reduced pressure therapy comprising a covering device that can be fixed to the skin surrounding a wound and serving to produce a closed wound space containing the wound, a valve system, designed on the one hand to suck gases out of the wound space and on the other hand to counter the penetration of gases into the wound space, being assigned to the covering device after fixing the covering device to the skin surrounding the wound, the valve system being able to be coupled detachably to a suction device that can be operated to suck gases out of the wound space.
Reduced-Pressure, Linear-Wound Treatment Systems
A system for treating a linear wound on a patient has a closing dressing bolster for placing on the patient's epidermis over the linear wound, a sealing subsystem for providing a seal over the closing dressing bolster and the patient, and a reduced-pressure subsystem for delivering reduced pressure to the sealing subsystem. The sealing subsystem and reduced pressure subsystem are operable to deliver reduced pressure to the closing dressing bolster. The closing dressing bolster is operable under reduced pressure to develop a inward closing. The closing dressing bolster may include one or more closing members on each side of a center wound area to create the inward closing when under reduced pressure. A compressive force may also be developed. Other systems and methods are presented.
TRI-LAYERED WOUND DRESSING AND METHOD THEREFOR
A multi-layer wound dressing includes a base layer with a circumscribing web of material defining a central opening of sufficient size to expose a wound area. An intermediate layer is the bandage layer that is placed over the opening in the base layer. An outer cover layer located above and over the bandage layer makes a sealing connection with the base layer and totally covers the intermediate bandage layer, providing sealing for the wound area and easy and repeated replacement of the bandage layer.
Inkjet printing ink
An inkjet printing ink according to the present disclosure contains a pigment, acrylic particles, an alcohol, and water. The alcohol contains at least a trihydric alcohol. A ratio of an amount of the alcohol to a whole mass of the inkjet printing ink is 30% by mass or less. A ratio of an amount of the acrylic particles to a mass of the pigment is 5% by mass to 100% by mass. Further, the inkjet printing ink has negative skin irritation.
MOLDABLE DECORATIVE SPLINT OR CAST MATERIAL AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING
Embodiments disclosed herein relate to moldable decorative splint materials and associated methods of manufacture. The splint material may include a plurality of decorative elements integrated with the splint material. The decorative elements may be interconnected within a network of flexible connectors via a plurality of supports. Each support of the plurality of supports may include a retaining edge that retains the decorative element within the support.
Sealing systems and methods employing a hybrid switchable drape
Systems, kits, methods of manufacturing, and a sealing member for creating a sealed space are described. The sealing member can include a film layer and a first adhesive layer coupled to the film layer. The sealing member can also include a second adhesive layer coupled to the first adhesive layer. A plurality of apertures may extend through the second adhesive layer. Each aperture can expose at least a portion of the first adhesive layer through the second adhesive layer. A plurality of polymer particles may be disposed in the first adhesive layer. The polymer particles can be configured to dissolve in response to interaction with a switching solution.
