Integrated temperature sensitive wound dressing device
The present invention pertains to an integrated wound dressing device for treatment of an insertion site of percutaneous and drug delivery devices. The integrated wound dressing device preferably comprises a transparent film layer having a bottom side, a top side and a perimeter. The bottom side is coated with an adhesive impregnated with an antimicrobial agent. The transparent film has a radius cutout between a central opening and the perimeter. A liquid crystal temperature sensitive film with an adhesive placed on the top side of the transparent film layer is preferably near and around the central opening. The dressing also has a layer of double folded release paper below the bottom side of the transparent film layer. The preferred TLCs used are cholesteryl esters with a preferable temperature detection range of 35-40 C. The preferred antimicrobial agent is chlorohexidine gluconate (CHG).
PRESSURE-SENSING COMPRESSION BANDAGE
A pressure-sensing compression bandage having a plurality of pressure sensors provided to indicate the pressures applied by and/or the pressure gradient created by, the applied bandage at various locations along its length when the bandage is applied to a limb or other extremity.
Medical cast and skin protector
The present invention relates to a medical cast having a dual structure. The present invention provides the medical cast comprising: a skin protector coming into contact with the affected area of a patient, woven by mixing and using at least two kinds of functional fibers in order to increase adhesive strength with the skin, and manufactured such that diamond-shaped mesh holes are formed in the shape of a meshed net; an inner supporting cast formed to cover the outer side of the skin protector and comprising an inside supporting cast for absorbing sweat or body waste between the casts, an inner ventilating channel for covering the outer surface of the inside supporting cast and improving air permeability, an adhesion enhancing part for increasing the elasticity of the cast, and an inner rigidity reinforcing part for providing primary rigidity for the medical cast; and an outer supporting cast formed to cover the outer side of the inner supporting cast, impregnated with a hardening solution having hydraulic properties, and comprising an outer ventilating channel formed along the circumference thereof, an adhesion enhancing part connected with the outer ventilating channel so as to provide predetermined elastic force, a cutter part provided on one surface of the outer side thereof for guiding the progressing direction of a cutter blade, and outer rigidity reinforcing parts formed on both sides of the cutter part so as to provide secondary rigidity for the medical cast.
Negative pressure wound treatment apparatuses and methods with integrated electronics
Disclosed herein are embodiments of a wound treatment apparatus with electronic components integrated within a wound dressing. In some embodiments, a wound dressing apparatus can comprise a wound contact layer, an absorbent layer over the wound contact layer, the absorbent layer comprising one or more apertures, a cover layer configured to cover and form a seal over the wound contact layer and the absorbent layer, and an electronics assembly comprising a negative pressure source. A portion of the cover layer overlying the one or more apertures in the absorbent layer can be configured to be compressed within the aperture in the absorbent layer when negative pressure is applied to the wound dressing apparatus. The compressed cover layer can indicate a level of negative pressure below the cover layer. In some embodiments, the wound dressing apparatus can comprise an indicator material layer and a cover layer configured to cover and form a seal over the wound contact layer and the indicator material layer. The indicator material layer can be configured to protrude relative to a surrounding surface of an upper surface of the wound dressing apparatus when negative pressure is applied to the wound dressing apparatus and the protruding indicator material layer indicates a level of negative pressure below the cover layer.
APPLICATION OF TOPICAL SKIN ADHESIVE TO SURGICAL MESH
A system includes a surgical mesh having an upper side and a lower side, where the upper side includes a visual indicia pattern that extends longitudinally along the upper side, and the lower side is configured to adhere to a section of skin of a patient that surrounds a wound. The system further includes a topical skin adhesive configured to be applied to the upper side of the surgical mesh based on the visual indicia pattern. The topical skin adhesive is configured to cure within the surgical mesh to thereby form a protective layer over the wound.
Dressing and wound determination system
The present disclosure provides a dressing configured to cover a wound. The dressing includes a substrate layer, a contact layer and a readable pattern layer. The substrate layer is light-permeable. The contact layer is located at a side of the substrate layer, and the contact layer is configured to contact the wound or skin around the wound. The readable pattern layer is disposed on the contact layer. The readable pattern layer includes a plurality of positioning marks and a plurality of colored cells. The positioning marks are configured to define an information area. The colored cells are located in the information areas, wherein at least part of the colored cells includes a biological indicator, and the positioning marks and the colored cells are visible through the substrate layer.
Head trauma bandage cap and method
An emergency head trauma bandage cap with a detachable strap system and method of use, which, when applied to the head, delivers minimal pressure to control bleeding, doesn't compromise cervical spine immobilization, allows for fast and effective application of cooling gel to control intracranial/internal swelling or hot packs to prevent hypothermia in non-trauma situations, doesn't come apart during treatment and transport, and doesn't require a caregiver to re-wrap the dressing.
COLLAPSIBLE DRESSING FOR NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND TREATMENT
Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to negative pressure treatment systems and wound dressing systems, apparatuses, and methods that may be used for the treatment of wounds. In particular, some embodiments are directed to improved wound dressings comprising an obscuring layer that may hide fluid contained therein and a stabilizing structure that may aid in wound closure.
Conformable medical dressing with self supporting substrate
A medical dressing comprising a backing layer and a self-supporting substrate. The backing layers form a perimeter around the self supporting substrate and hold the self supporting substrate in place on a wound.
PEEL AND PLACE DRESSING FOR NEGATIVE-PRESSURE TREATMENT
A dressing for treating a tissue site with negative pressure may comprise a tissue interface comprising a three-dimensional textile of polyester fibers and a polymer coating on the polyester fibers. In some examples, the three-dimensional textile may be a three-dimensional weave of polyester fibers, and the polymer coating may be hydrophobic. In more particular embodiments, the polymer coating may be silicone or polyethylene, for example. The dressing may additionally include a drape disposed over the tissue interface and a port fluidly coupled to the tissue interface through the drape. The tissue interface may be applied over a tissue site, and therapeutic levels of negative pressure may be applied to the tissue site through the tissue interface.
