A WOUND DRESSING
20220031521 · 2022-02-03 · ·

The present disclosure generally relates to a wound dressing for a wound, specifically adapted for reducing the risk of disturbance of the wound when removing the wound dressing. The present disclosure also relates to a wound treatment method.

Dressing With Fluid Level Indication

A dressing for a wound can include a body layer formed from an absorbent material. The dressing can also include multiple wicking cores disposed within the body layer. Each of the multiple wicking cores can be configured to provide a visual indication at a different state of liquid absorption in the body layer.

Skin treatment devices and methods with pre-stressed configurations

Devices, bandages, kits and methods are described that can control or regulate the mechanical environment of a wound to ameliorate scar and/or keloid formation. The mechanical environment of a wound includes stress, strain, and any combination of stress and strain. The control of a wound's mechanical environment can be active, passive, dynamic, or static. The devices are configured to be removably secured to a skin surface in proximity to the wound site and shield the wound from endogenous and/or exogenous stress.

Systems and methods for making hydrophilic foams

Provided herein are methods for making foam materials and foam material products having a polyurethane foam matrix defining a plurality of pores, a hydrophilic agent retained within at least a portion of the pores for improving an absorption of the foam material, a salt retained within at least a portion of the pores in an amount sufficient to render the foam material isotonic, a surfactant retained within at least a portion of the pores in an amount sufficient to be released upon contact with a moist surface. Also provided herein are methods for making a multilayer foam by casting a second foam layer on a first foam layer substrate and compressing the second foam layer before the second layer is fully cured to form an interface layer in situ.

Composite sensor fibres and applications therefor

A composite sensor fiber comprising a filamentary core (12) and an outer layer (30) encapsulating an intermediate sensor layer (20) of a detectably thermoresponsive material. Also disclosed are a method of making composite sensor fibers, a dressing comprising a fabric having a matrix of the fibers, and a method of monitoring a wound that utilizes the dressing.

Decorative Graduated Compression sock

The present invention provides a decorative compression sock made from resilient elastic material for the prevention and treatment. The material is composed of a plurality of fibers. An aesthetically pleasing image is stored onto a sublimation transferable medium. The image is transferred from the sublimation transfer medium onto the compression sock wherein the image is permanently incorporated into the plurality of fibers of the material. The compression sock configured as a knee length tubular member having a closed end and an opened lower end. Compression is graduated from the toe, ankle and leg portion.

Adhesive Bandage With Integral Sticker
20170252221 · 2017-09-07 ·

An adhesive bandage having at least one shape cut into the surface to produce a standalone sticker using the existing materials of the bandage. In one embodiment, a shape is kiss cut into the surface and adhesive layer of the bandage. When the release tabs are removed, the sticker remains on the release tab, leaving behind a decorative shape in the bandage. The user then may remove the sticker from the release tab and place it wherever desired. In another embodiment, the sticker can be die cut through all the bandage layers thus allowing use of the sticker before or after the bandage is applied.
