Devices, kits and methods described herein are provided for treatment to skin, including but not limited to wound healing, the treatment, amelioration, and/or prevention of scars or keloids. A book-like packaging, applicator and/or tensioning device can be used to apply a dressing to a subject. The packaging, applicator and/or tensioning device applies and/or maintain a strain in an elastic dressing, and include undulating edge configurations to reduce peak stresses applied to the skin compared to traditional dressing shapes.

A medical device for curing a liquid bandage including a body, an input unit disposed on an outer wall of the body and configured to receive a signal input from outside, a light source disposed at one end of the body and including a diode configured to emit UV light to cure the liquid bandage in response to a signal input to the input unit, a liquid bandage storage unit disposed inside the body to store the liquid bandage, a liquid bandage discharge unit disposed at the one end or the other end of the body and configured to discharge the liquid bandage from the liquid bandage storage unit, a lid configured to open or cover the liquid bandage discharge unit, and a light quantity controller configured to control a quantity of light emitted from the light source according to a signal sent from the input unit or preset data.

An adhesive patch is described that contains an improved release liner for the treatment of various skin conditions.

An adhesive bandage comprising a base portion having a gauze portion to contact a wound and an adhesive portion, and the base portion defining a pocket adapted for storing the gauze portion, and allowing inspection and replacement thereof without having to remove the entire bandage.

The devices, kits and methods described may be used for wound healing, including the treatment, amelioration, or prevention of scars and/or keloids by applying and/or maintaining a pre-determined strain in an elastic skin treatment device that is then affixed to the skin surface using skin adhesives to transfer a generally planar force from the bandage to the skin surface. Applicators are used to apply and/or maintain the strains, and some of the applicators are further configured to provide at least some mechanical advantage to the user when exerting loads onto the skin treatment device.

An eyelid closure patch including a flexible transparent backing material defining a main body with a width and a length and a tab. An adhesive is applied to one surface of the backing material such that the adhesive substantially covers the main body and the tab. An overlying cover sheet covers the adhesive on the tab to define a non-adhesive tab. Methods of manufacturing an eyelid closure patches are also provided.

A system for wound management to maintain wound dressing isolation from the caregiver. The system includes a flexible wound pad with exterior separated wound engagement fields and a self-engaging applicator isolation pad retainment placement removal handle element which can be selectively used by the caregiver to manipulate the wound pad on the patient.

Wound closure devices and related methods. In one example, a wound closure device includes a release liner and several wound closure meshes held in a removable fashion to the release liner. The release liner includes a main body and several tabs, with the tabs secured in a detachable fashion to the main body. Each wound closure mesh is held in a removable fashion to the main body of the release liner and at least one of the tabs, with the tab including a portion that extends outwardly from an outer perimeter of the mesh to which it is held.

A wrap-around bandage for body tips, including fingers, toes, and other similar-shaped body parts wherein at least one section of the bandage wraps around the body-part to secure the bandage.

The present invention relates to a quick application bandage for medical applications to prevent instant loss of blood or other bodily fluid. The bandage does not require any adhesive, straps or other attachment applications for quick attachment to the living appendage. The bandage is constructed of deformable metal members or bands embedded in padded bandage materials to enable compression around the injured area or bodily member. The snap compression bandage is adaptable for reuse and will return to its original shape after each application. The bandage is especially useful for first responders or military personnel such in naval or army operations where injuries may require immediate urgent attention.
