Hydrogel structure
09782301 · 2017-10-10 · ·

A hydrogel structure which has: (a) a one way penetrating polyurethane film layer; (b) a hydrophobic pressure sensitive adhesive layer; (c) a multi-directional elastic meltblown nonwoven; (d) an interpenetrating polymer network; and (e) a hydrogel; wherein the meltblown nonwoven and the hydrogel are laminated by UV curing to form the interpenetrating polymer network, part of fibers of the meltblown nonwoven are exposed and fit stably with the pressure sensitive adhesive film. The hydrogel structure can make dressings multi-directional elastic for multiple traumas. The hydrogel structure can provide an environment suitable for wound healing, shorten the healing time, antiseptic and reduce the chances of being infected for the wound dressing.

WOUND CARE DEVICE HAVING FLUID TRANSFER AND ADHESIVE PROPERTIES

This disclosure relates to a wound care device which contains capillary force one-way pumps that are capable of transporting fluid, such as wound exudate, away from a wound site to the opposite side of the wound care device, which functions as a segregated fluid reservoir. This fluid transport mechanism generally aids in reducing wound maceration by removing excess wound fluid and the protease enzymes and infectious bacteria contained within the wound fluid. The wound care device performs this function, often times for multiple days, without the loss of the physical integrity of the wound care device. In addition to providing a uni-directional fluid transport mechanism, the wound care device contains a perforated adhesive layer.

Self-adhesive member

A self-adhesive member for adhering to and covering a portion of a user's skin is disclosed. The self-adhesive member has a backing layer having a self-adhesive coating. The backing layer has a first and a second portion, where the first portion surrounds the second portion, and where the first portion has a first row of slits extending along an outer edge of the backing layer and being distanced a first distance therefrom and the second portion being either void of slits or being provided with fewer slits per area unit than the first portion.

Low acuity dressing with integral pump

Systems, assemblies, and methods for providing negative-pressure therapy to a tissue site are described. The system can include an absorbent and a sealing layer configured to cover the absorbent. The system can also include a blister fluidly coupled to the absorbent. The blister may have a collapsed position and an expanded position. A first check valve may be fluidly coupled to the absorbent and the blister and configured to prevent fluid flow from the blister into the absorbent if the blister is moved from the expanded position to the collapsed position. A second check valve may be fluidly coupled to the blister and the ambient environment and configured to prevent fluid flow from the ambient environment into the blister if the blister is moved from the collapsed position to the expanded position.

Method for producing bandages

Warp-knitted elastic perforated fabric and elastic perforated compression bandage
11351065 · 2022-06-07 ·

Two-sided warp-knitted fabrics having perforations possessing elastic qualities are usable in the medical industry for making warming products such as belts, bands, and compression bandages. A fabric includes, in its warp, wales having a closed-chain weave made of synthetic threads with elastomeric threads disposed inside of the wales, and, in its weft, thread systems made of a wool yarn or a yarn including wool, and, for a bandage, thread systems made of a natural yarn and/or an artificial yarn and/or a synthetic yarn. One system forms the front side and the other forms the back side of the fabric. The fabric has sections with weft threads missing in the courses of the fabric, and in the place of the weft threads are perforations, the minimal width of each perforation being equal to the distance between wales. A breathable fabric is produced suitable for making the aforementioned medical products.

SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE FOR PRE-CUT KINESIOLOGY TAPE EMBEDDED WITH MICROENCAPSULATED ESSENTIAL OILS

A pre-cut piece of kinesiology tape is provided, the pre-cut piece of kinesiology tape having a shape that facilitates a predetermined purpose (such as pain relief, inflammation reduction, muscle inhibition, etc.). The pre-cut piece of kinesiology tape comprises a flexible fabric layer and an adhesive layer. The fabric layer is embedded with microencapsulated essential oils.
