Devices and methods for body protection against moisture and contaminants
A nonpermeable enclosure formed from a clear, waterproof fabric, has a cover ridge for insertion into a channel so as to produce a barrier against moisture and contaminants, and is attached to a closure band for securing the nonpermeable enclosure over a wearer's hand.
Advanced fabric technology and filters
A filter material for entrapping particles and actively affecting the trapped particles within the filter. The fabric has a blend of hydrophilic superabsorbent fibers and non-superabsorbent hydrophilic fibers that is sufficiently porous as to allow gaseous flow through the fabric. The fabric having a thickness and the fabric has as a coating of a mixture of a chemically or physically active compound and a liquid carrier forming an active composition on both the outer surface of the hydrophilic superabsorbent fibers, and the hydrophilic superabsorbent fibers have a central volume also retaining the active composition. The central volume of the hydrophilic superabsorbent fibers acting as a reservoir for replacement of the active compound into the coating when concentration of active compounds in the coating are reduced to a concentration less than concentrations of the active compound within the central volume; and the liquid carrier is an aqueous liquid.
BANDAGE FOR ENCLOSING A LEG REGION OR ARM REGION OF A LIVING BEING
The invention relates to a bandage (100) for enclosing a leg region or arm region of a living being, said bandage comprising: an elongate, tubular bandage part (10), at least part of which has a single slit in the longitudinal direction (LR) and which is designed to elastically enclose the leg or arm region when worn; and a closure part (20) which has closure elements (22) and which is fixedly connected to one end of the slit region (B) of the bandage part in order to detachably seal the slit region (B) by connecting the adjacent ends of the slit region (B) in an overlapping manner by means of the closure elements (22, 22). According to the invention, the bandage part (10) has different compression zones (K1, K2) in the longitudinal direction (LR) which each have different radial compression strengths transverse to the longitudinal direction (L).
Wound and therapy compress and dressing
An article for therapy and treatment of at least one eye. The article includes a backing for application to the at least one eye. The backing includes at least one receiver positioned to align with the at least one eye. The article also includes at least one pod that is detachably secured within the at least one receiver. The at least one pod includes material for delivering therapy and treatment to the at least one eye.
WOUND PROTECTION DEVICE
A wound protection device can include a frame having a plurality of first members and a plurality of second members. The first members can be spaced relative to each other. The second members can be spaced relative to each other and can be coupled to the first members. The first members and the second members can define a plurality of a gaps through which a fluid can enter the frame. The frame can be configured to circumscribe a wound.
WOUND COVERING APPARATUS
The present disclosure relates to apparatus for covering a burn or other wound in ways that prevent or limit touching the wound. The present disclosure describes Burn Bandages that may include domes or structures that bridge over a wide range of a burn or wound size. In certain instances these structures may expand in one or more directions as they are adjusted to fit to a particular burn or wound size. Such bridging structures may include airways, openings, or voids that promote air/oxygen flow to the wound as the Burn Bandage sits upon surfaces or pads that contact healthy surrounding tissue while they cover a wound site. The apparatus may be any shape including, yet not limited to, a circle, a rectangle, a square, a hexagon, an octagon, an oval, a cone, a cylinder, have a semi-cylindrical shape, or that have any another geometric shape.
Nail and Nail Bed Protecting Bandage
A combined bandage having an attachment portion for overlying and circumscribing a human digit with an injured nail and nail bed that is configured with a plurality of extensions to wrap around the injured digit and secure the bandage in place. A protective portion sized to overlie the injured nail and nail bed and affixed to the attachment portion of the bandage within an exterior sleeve for providing a solid reinforcing surface to protect the injured nail and nail bed from further injury through direct force, pressure or incidental striking.
Open Wound Dressing with Protection Against Contact
A wound dressing for a burn or open wound comprises a body of a foam material with an open center area. The thickness of the foam body creates a zone for air circulation and prevents contact with the wound. This may have a mesh, gauze or other air permeable cover over the open center area.
System of a plurality of contactless adhesive bandages
A system of contactless adhesive bandages is taught that are customizable to extend and cover, but not touch, wounds that are long and/or curving. The system of contactless adhesive bandages comprises one or more sectional raised adhesive bandages sealed off at the ends of runs by end sectional raised adhesive bandages. The system of contactless adhesive bandages is preferably applied contiguously in an overlapping fashion to follow the contours of the wound. A raised adhesive bandage is taught that covers but does not contact the wound. The raised adhesive bandage comprises a strip having an upper surface and a lower surface. An adhesive is at least partially disposed on the lower surface. A pad is disposed on the adhesive and/or lower surface. Raised edges are disposed on the pad creating a hollowed-out area. Raised edges are dimensioned such that they and the pad are not in contact with the wound.
BAND FOR PREVENTING CONTACT OF INJURY
An injury contact prevention band includes an injury cover portion, a fastening portion, and a hard cover portion. The injury cover portion covers a part of a body including an injury, has flexibility, elasticity and a thickness through which an injury opening hole cuts to expose the injury. The fastening portion fastens the injury cover portion to the body. The hard cover portion covers an outer surface of the injury cover portion, has hardness and a thickness through which an injury opening hole opening cuts. The fastening portion includes first and second fastening members and a connecting member. The first fastening member extends from an end of the injury cover portion. The second fastening member extends from another end of the injury cover portion. The connecting member detachably connects an end of the first fastening member and an end of the second fastening member to each other.
