INTEGRATED TEMPERATURE SENSITIVE WOUND DRESSING DEVICE
The present invention pertains to an integrated wound dressing device for treatment of an insertion site of percutaneous and drug delivery devices. The integrated wound dressing device preferably comprises a transparent film layer having a bottom side, a top side and a perimeter. The bottom side is coated with an adhesive impregnated with an antimicrobial agent. The transparent film has a radius cutout between a central opening and the perimeter. A liquid crystal temperature sensitive film with an adhesive placed on the top side of the transparent film layer is preferably near and around the central opening. The dressing also has a layer of double folded release paper below the bottom side of the transparent film layer. The preferred TLCs used are cholesteryl esters with a preferable temperature detection range of 35-40° C. The preferred antimicrobial agent is chlorohexidine gluconate (CHG).
Wound dressing garment
A wound dressing garment is provided. The wound dressing garment includes a wearable garment including a portion having a hole configured to receive a wound dressing therein in combination with the wound dressing. The wound dressing includes a border connecting the wound dressing to the wearable garment where the border extends around the perimeter of the hole to locate the wound dressing therein. The wound dressing may include one or more additional layers including a hydrogel layer. A method for treating wound or preventing bed sores using the wound dressing garment is also provided.
Adhesive Bandage with Raised portion, Water Temperature Indicator Strip, and non Adhesive Tab
Adhesive bandages/shield/cover with at least one raised non-adhesive portion which is elevated above the at least one adhesive layer with attached water temperature gauge indicator. The raised non-adhesive portion is peripherally surrounded by an adhesive layer with attached water temperature gauge indicator and is designed to protect surgical sites and cutaneous wounds as well as any other skin malady. Neither the raised non-adhesive portions of the bandage/shield/cover nor the adhesive layer with attached water temperature gauge indicator are in contact with the cutaneous layer which is the subject of the sought protection, with the adhesive layer with attached water gauge temperature indicator coming into contact only with the area surrounding the affected site which can result in the reduction or elimination of exposure to moisture and/or contaminates, and the correct water temperature can be indicated to eliminate any scalding of the skin. In addition, the surgical site or cutaneous wound is protected from force or impact. The raised non-adhesive portion may also be transparent to provide for monitoring of the surgical site or cutaneous wound while the surgical site or cutaneous wound remains protected.
Antimicrobial medical dressings and protecting wounds and catheter sites
An antimicrobial medical dressing provides a combination of antimicrobial agents in various concentrations that protect against microorganisms, absorb exudates, and promote healing. The antimicrobial agents may include compositions of ethanol, hydrogen peroxide, and/or ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid.
Transparent Tourniquet and Bandage Material System Utilizing Absorbing Components and Treatment Gas
The present invention provides a method and device for visualizing and treating an injury, wound or skin using a visual tourniquet and skin patch system made of transparent materials. The inventive bandage system is capable of applying pressure while absorbing bodily fluids away from the wound or skin and providing support for the application of one or more medicaments or a combination of treatment gas and/or medicine. The inventive bandage system enables the practitioner to visually inspect and measure the size of the wound over time without removing or touching the bandage or tourniquet thereby reducing pain and contamination of the wound bed. One embodiment of the inventive bandage system continuously controls the wound bed temperature thereby reducing pain and inhibiting bacterial growth. Other embodiments of the inventive bandage system are used as a visual tourniquet to apply a combination of pressures to a wound or skin.
Skin treatment devices and methods with pre-stressed configurations
Devices, bandages, kits and methods are described that can control or regulate the mechanical environment of a wound to ameliorate scar and/or keloid formation. The mechanical environment of a wound includes stress, strain, and any combination of stress and strain. The control of a wound's mechanical environment can be active, passive, dynamic, or static. The devices are configured to be removably secured to a skin surface in proximity to the wound site and shield the wound from endogenous and/or exogenous stress.
ADHESIVE PHOTOTHERAPY METHOD, SYSTEM, AND DEVICES
A phototherapy device, system, and method for treating acne and/or acne scarring, includes a light emitting device configured and arranged to emit light from a bottom surface thereof; and an attachment portion having an aperture therethrough configured to permit light through. The attachment portion is configured to retain the device to a user's skin and bathe the skin with phototherapeutic light from the light emitter. Attachment of the device may be preceded with the application of synergistic fluid, ointment, gel, cream, lotion, foam, soap, or other solutions which may or may not consist of known topical acne treatment agents, augment device attachment to the skin, and/or have photodynamic properties. The light emitted may be any wavelength, combinations of wavelengths, intensity, pulse frequency, and exposure duration.
Two-part bandage with replaceable wound covering portion
A two-piece bandage is useful for treating wound on a patient. The bandage includes a boundary portion including a bottom surface comprising adhesive for attaching the boundary portion to skin of a patient, an open window in the middle of the boundary portion permitting one to view a wound through the open window, and a top surface. The top surface includes a first portion of the top surface surrounding the open window including a flat surface and a second portion of the top surface including an uneven surface. The bandage further includes a plurality of replaceable wound covering portions, each replaceable wound covering portion comprising a padded section comprising a material to dress the wound.
BANDAGE SYSTEM FOR WOUND VISUALIZATION, MICROCURRENT THERAPY AND TOPICAL AND TRANSDERMAL DRUG DELIVERY
The present invention provides a method and device for visualizing and treating an injury, wound or skin, using a visual tourniquet and skin bandage system made of transparent materials. Other embodiments of the inventive bandage system are used as a visual tourniquet to apply a combination of pressures to a wound or skin injury.
