STRETCHABLE HEATING TAPE
The present disclosure is directed to a heating mechanism including stretchable heating tape and a rechargeable electrical power source. The stretchable heating tape can be worn to provide heat and pressure relief on different parts of a user's body anisotropically. On one side of such stretchable tape lies a single-layer fabric in which non-stretchable heating wire is at least partially weaved with knitted stretchable yarns to make a stretchable fabric that can stretch up to 100%. On the other side of the stretchable tape lies an adhesive material that provides tension at various levels of stretch up to 100% and can sustain multiple hours on direct skin applications. Such stretchable fabric can have a connector coming from one end or both ends which provides a path for power through an inter-connecting cable between the stretchable tape and a controller which includes the power source and its control circuitry.
APPARATUS FOR HANDS FREE APPLICATION OF COMPRESSION TO A WOUND SITE
An adjustable hands-free compression device for application of a treatment to a locus of a wound. The compression device is capable of exerting compression on specific locations post-surgery after an injury or any trauma that requires compression to a specific point or area of the body to secure placement of therapeutic media such as an ice pack or post-surgical site or injury. The compression device has a body engagement band for bilateral adjustment engagement of a compression assembly track having independent adjustable compression engagement elements against the treatment device. As such, the structure will conform to the area of the body to which it is secured and allow for easy adjustment of the compression of the targeted location of the site and the amount of compression required to achieve the best outcome.
Multilayer Garments Worn During Wound Care
A wound recovery garment includes a multilayer fabric. The multilayer fabric comprises a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The multilayer fabric draws moisture from the skin tissues, including wounded or burned tissue recovering from trauma. The first layer removes moisture from wounded tissue without sticking to skin. The first layer is formed from compressive, elastic material that supplies compression forces to tissue. The second layer is an absorbent layer that receives the moisture from the first layer and stores tissue moisture in a sponge-like fashion. The second layer is disposed between the first layer and the third layer. The third layer is an exterior layer and is visible to outside viewers. No body fluid or blood leaks through the third layer. Individuals recovering from trauma are able to comfortably go outside without being concerned with body fluids soaking through and being visible to others.
APPARATUSES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR THE TREATMENT OF DAMAGED TISSUE
A therapeutic apparatus for treating damaged tissue on a limb or body of a subject includes a wearable adapted to cover and be secured to the limb or body of a subject over damaged tissue. The wearable being configured to reduce pressure on the damaged tissue and adapted to deliver one or more treatments selected from the group consisting of heat, oxygen, electrical current, and light to the damaged tissue.
COMBINATION OF A WOUND-RINSING SOLUTION AND COLD PLASMA FOR THE TREATMENT OF WOUNDS
The present invention relates to the use of a combination of a wound-rinsing solution and cold atmospheric plasma for treating wounds. The present invention further relates to a method for treating wounds, comprising rinsing the wound with a wound solution and treating the wound with cold atmospheric plasma.
WEARABLE REHABILITATION AND RELAXATION AID
A wearable rehabilitation and relaxation sleeve aid is described that provides support and therapeutic benefits to an injured area. The wearable sleeve aid includes a first inner protective layer and an outer protective layer that form a pocket area between them. A removable pack may be inserted in the pocket area. The removable pack may be cooled or heated to bring the removable pack to the desired temperature. The wearable sleeve aid further provides compression to the targeted recovery area of a user's body to reduce swelling and pain.
DRY EYE TREATMENT APPARATUS AND METHODS
Dry eye treatment apparatus and methods are described herein which generally comprise a patch or strip affixed to the skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids to deliver heat or other forms of energy, pressure, drugs, moisture, etc. (alone or in combination) to the one or more meibomian glands contained within the underlying skin. The treatment strip or strips include one or more strips configured to adhere to an underlying region of skin in proximity to one or both eyes of a subject such that the one or more strips allow for the subject to blink naturally without restriction from the one or more patches. Moreover, the one or more strips may be configured to emit energy to the underlying region of skin and where the one or more strips are shaped to follow a location of one or more meibomiam glands contained within the underlying region of skin.

CRYOTHERAPY COMPRESSION SYSTEM
In one example, a therapy system includes a sleeve that defines an opening and has an outer surface and an inner surface. A therapeutic device is positioned so that the inner surface of the sleeve is disposed between the therapeutic device and an extremity of a user when the extremity is positioned in the opening defined by the sleeve. A manually operable tightening mechanism is provided that includes a lace connected to first and second portions of the outer surface of the sleeve and the lace is engaged with a mechanical lace tensioner that is operable to change, by either drawing the first and second portions toward each other or by allowing the first and second portions to move away from each other, a magnitude of a compressive force exerted by the sleeve on the extremity when the extremity is positioned within the opening defined by the sleeve.
COLD LEG WRAP
A leg wrap has an elongate body portion having an outer layer and an inner layer that define one or more interior spaces configured to receive one or more cold packs. Preferably, the body portion is sized to cover at least a substantial entirety of a length of the user's leg and, when wrapped around the user's leg, to cover at least a substantial entirety of a circumference of the user's leg. In some configurations, multiple sizes of the leg wrap can be provided to suit a range of users. The leg wrap also includes a plurality of retention elements configured to retain the leg wrap in the wrapped orientation on the user's leg.
