The method includes maintaining, by a controller, an initial refrigerated climate in the container, detecting a first climate modification event, controlling automated vents in the container to an open state that exposes an interior of the container to an external environment until a temperature within the container increases to a predetermined temperature value, controlling, when the temperature reaches the predetermined temperature value, a ripening agent generator to inject a ripening agent into the container, continuously monitoring and controlling the ripening agent generator to maintain a target concentration of the ripening agent, detecting a second climate modification event, controlling the ripening agent generator to stop injecting the ripening agent, controlling a refrigeration unit to lower the container temperature to the initial refrigerated climate, and maintaining the initial refrigerated climate until arrival at a destination location.

A strawberry dried product exhibiting high SOD enzyme activities and a preparation method therefor. The strawberry dried product maintains the maximum degree of the original shape, color, smell, and taste of fresh strawberries, that has nutrients such as vitamins, anthocyanin, and multiple amino acids, and exhibits high SOD enzyme activities. The drying method enhances the preserved freshness of fresh strawberries, and provides cooling the fresh strawberries in an average dropping temperature of 20° C. or more per minute to form amorphous ice, and sublimating the amorphous ice to obtain the strawberry dried product.
STORAGE OF POST-CLIMACTERIC FRUIT
Systems and methods for storing post-climacteric fruit are described. The system is scalable for home or commercial use and extends the storage life of fruit sensitive to over-ripening and spoilage because of the emission of ethylene gas. The described systems circulate and remove the ethylene gas, emitted by the fruit, from within an enclosure containing the fruit. Also, the system may store the fruit at an average temperature that extends the storage life of the fruit. The systems accomplish these objectives by thermally cycling the temperature of the air/gas within the enclosure containing the fruit about a desired storage temperature. The change in temperature may cause the air to expand and contract. Mechanisms allow the expanding and contracting air to exchange the gas within the enclosure with the air outside the enclosure, inducing the flushing of the ethylene gas.
STORAGE OF POST-CLIMACTERIC FRUIT
Systems and methods for storing post-climacteric fruit are described. The system is scalable for home or commercial use and extends the storage life of fruit sensitive to over-ripening and spoilage because of the emission of ethylene gas. Further, the system comprises a controller for controlling the illumination of the fruit and/or vegetables in the food storage facility by controlling the lamp. The controller is configured to apply the illumination in a sequence comprising a period of darkness, followed by the first light output for a first period, then followed by the second light output for a second period.
