Technologies for incontinence underwear
An incontinence underwear including a crotch area hosting a stitching, a first layer, a second layer, a third layer, a fourth layer, a fifth layer, a sixth layer, and a seventh layer, wherein the first layer is innermost, wherein the seventh layer is outermost, wherein the second layer extends between the first layer and the third layer, wherein the fourth layer extends between the third layer and the fifth layer, wherein the sixth layer extends between the fifth layer and the seventh layer, wherein the stitching extends through the first layer, the second layer, the sixth layer, and the seventh layer, wherein the stitching avoids extending through the third layer, the fourth layer, and the fifth layer, wherein the second layer is bonded or adhered to the third layer.
WOUND DRESSING
A wound dressing comprising a breathable film, a fluid-adsorption layer and a fluid-wicking layer, use of the wound dressing for treating or preventing wounds and/or for securement of a device that has been at least partially inserted in the skin, and methods of making said wound dressings.
SELF CONTAINED WOUND DRESSING WITH MICROPUMP
A composite wound dressing apparatus promotes healing of a wound via the use of a micropump system housed within or above a wound dressing member. The micropump system includes a miniature pump that applies a subatmospheric pressure to the wound to effectively draw wound fluid or exudate away from the wound bed without the need for a cumbersome external vacuum source. Hence, the wound dressing and micropump system is portable which allows the patient mobility that is unavailable when an external vacuum source is used. The patient does not need to be constrained for any period of time while exudate is being removed from the wound.
Buffered adhesive compositions for skin-adhering medical products
Provided are buffered adhesive compositions comprising a high molecular weight non-neutralized polymeric acid and a high molecular weight partially neutralized polymeric acid and products such as wound dressings and ostomy skin barriers incorporating the compositions.
NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND DRESSING
A dressing for negative pressure wound therapy includes an absorbent layer comprising a gelling absorbent material for absorbing exudate, a peripheral adhesive skin contact layer comprising a hydrocolloid adhesive and defining a window through which the absorbent layer is able to contact a wound, and a cover layer that is water impermeable and air permeable. The cover layer defines an aperture to be used with a pump assembly to provide negative pressure to a wound site.
Wound dressing
A wound dressing including a nonwoven absorbent layer including a layer of fabric comprising gel-forming fibers. The absorbent layer is gathered in a longitudinal direction by stitching through the layer of fabric using one or more resilient threads or yarns and an inelastic thread or yarn. The resilient and inelastic threads or yarns gather the layer of fabric so that the layer of fabric in use is configured to maintain close conformability with a wound during movement, and to elongate by 35% to 85% and then recover.
Adhesive-containing wound closure device and method
A tissue bonding article includes a flexible material, an adhesive substance applied over at least a portion of a bottom side of the flexible material, and a polymerizable adhesive composition permeated throughout at least a portion of the flexible material.
Breathable interface system for topical reduced pressure
A reduced pressure tissue treatment system includes an applicator having an aperture, a first pad section, and a second pad section substantially covering the aperture and positioned substantially adjacent the first pad section. A fabric layer is located at least partially between the second pad section and the drape, and the fabric layer includes a woven or non-woven fabric made from a fiber material. A drape substantially covers the first pad section, the second pad section, the fabric layer, and the applicator. A reduced pressure source is in fluid communication with at least one of the first pad section and the fabric layer for providing reduced pressure to the aperture.
WOUND DRESSING
The present invention relates to wound dressings which are particularly useful (but not necessarily exclusively) on moderate to heavily exuding wounds comprising: an absorbent pad having a first major face comprised of absorbent material and configured for wound contact, and a second major face opposed to the first major face; and a backing layer bonded to the second major face of the pad; wherein the pad and the backing layer are sized such that the backing layer extends beyond the periphery of the pad, thereby defining a margin; wherein the margin of the backing layer is provided with a first adhesive for adhering the backing layer to skin; and wherein a layer of second, low trauma adhesive is provided on, and in direct contact with, the first major face of the pad for adhering the pad to a wound, said layer of second, low trauma adhesive being configured to allow passage of exudate from the wound to the absorbent pad.
