PRESSURE-REDUCING DRESSING ADAPTED FOR SECURING MEDICAL EQUIPMENT
A pressure-reducing dressing is adapted for securing medical equipment to the skin of a human body, and includes a skin contact pad adapted for locating the medical equipment, a water barrier laminate positioned on the skin contact pad, and a release sheet. The water barrier laminate includes a body layer and an adhesive layer formed on a side surface of the body layer that faces the skin contact pad and adhered to the skin. The body layer has a positioning portion and two divisional portions extending from the positioning portion and spaced apart from each other by a separating gap. The release sheet is attached to the adhesive layer of the water barrier laminate.
ADHESIVE BANDAGE CAPABLE OF ADMINISTERING TEMPORARY TATTOO
An adhesive bandage is combined with temporary tattoos. When the bandage is removed with water, a temporary tattoo is transferred to the skin. In some embodiments, the adhesive bandage can comprise a base strip, an adhesive layer, a pad, a protective strip and a temporary tattoo assembly, further comprising of at least an ink layer and a release coating.
METHODS and DEVICES for SKIN CLOSURE
A wound closure device and a method of its use are disclosed. The wound closure device comprises a wound closure strip, the wound closure strip comprising a wound-facing side and a top side, the wound-facing side comprises an adhesive applied over at least a portion of the wound facing side of the wound closure strip and a non-symmetric, two-part release liner assembly detachably adhered to the adhesive, the release liner assembly comprising a first section and a second section with the second section comprising a wound closure strip-free portion forming a tab. In an alternate embodiment, the device is multi-segmented and the wound closure strip may be coextensive with the release liner assembly.
BAND FOR SURGICAL WOUND SUTURE
A band for surgical wound suture includes a first band having a first left band and a first right band and a second band located above the first band and having a second left band and a second right band, in which the first left band is connected to the second right band, and the second right band is connected to the first left band. The band for surgical wound suture provides advantages that an incision may be sutured by a simple operation of pulling the left and right bands to the left and right and attaching them, a feeling of heterogeneity after a suturing procedure may be minimized with a suturing device having a small volume and having almost no hard parts, and furthermore, the incision may be joined and firmly fixed by a wide and sturdy joint joined to both sides of the incision.
PACKAGED MEDICAL ARTICLES WITH REDUCED PACKAGING
Packaged medical article include a package enclosing a medical article and a medical article contained within the package. The medical article is an adhesive article, where the adhesive article includes at least one fold along a fold line along an axis of symmetry of the adhesive article. Some of the folded adhesive articles have three segments, two adhesive segments and an absorbent pad, where the two adhesive segments are attached to a double sided release liner.
Medical dressing
The present invention relates to a dressing having a lateral (x) and a longitudinal (y) extension. The dressing comprises a backing layer, a wound pad contoured by a pair of lateral edges extending in parallel to each other in the lateral direction, and an adhesive layer having a wound facing surface and a non-wound facing surface. The wound pad is arranged between the backing layer and the adhesive layer, and the backing layer extends beyond the periphery of the wound pad to define a border portion along the contour of the wound pad. A release liner is releasably attached to the wound facing surface of the adhesive layer. The release liner is divided by a first dividing line extending in the lateral direction of the dressing to form at least a first removable portion, and a second removable portion, wherein the first and the second portions overlap along the first dividing line to form a first grip member.
Muscle or joint support article
The present application generally relates to support articles and methods of making and using them. Some embodiments of the support articles of the present disclosure provide compression and/or stabilization to sore joints, tendons, or muscles. In some embodiments, the compression and/or enhanced stabilization is provided, at least in part, by one or more reinforcing portions. In some embodiments, the support articles can easily be applied by a non-trained user and can be worn in many conditions (including, for example, in the shower or during exercise) for up to three days. In some embodiments, the support articles or support articles also have a relatively slim profile and are thus discreet such that they can be worn under clothing without being noticeable. In some embodiments, the support articles eliminate or reduce joint or muscle pain or soreness.
WOUND DRESSING
The present invention relates to wound dressings which are particularly useful (but not necessarily exclusively) on moderate to heavily exuding wounds comprising: an absorbent pad having a first major face comprised of absorbent material and configured for wound contact, and a second major face opposed to the first major face; and a backing layer bonded to the second major face of the pad; wherein the pad and the backing layer are sized such that the backing layer extends beyond the periphery of the pad, thereby defining a margin; wherein the margin of the backing layer is provided with a first adhesive for adhering the backing layer to skin; and wherein a layer of second, low trauma adhesive is provided on, and in direct contact with, the first major face of the pad for adhering the pad to a wound, said layer of second, low trauma adhesive being configured to allow passage of exudate from the wound to the absorbent pad.
Release Liner For Simultaneous Use With Two Adhesives
A release liner, for example for use with a tissue cover having a first adhesive and a second adhesive, may comprise a first release agent adapted for the first adhesive and a second release agent adapted for the second adhesive. Typically, the first release agent is different from the second release agent, and the first release agent may be configured to interact with a first area of the cover having the first adhesive, and the second release agent may be configured to interact with a second area of the cover having the second adhesive. In some embodiments, the release liner may be multi-layered, for example with a first layer comprising the first release agent and a second layer comprising the second release agent. Some such embodiments may have perforations through the second layer of the release liner, with the first layer then being disposed with respect to the second layer in such a way as to expose the first release agent through the perforations in the second layer.
Extensible dressings
The present invention relates to dressings such as bandages or tapes improved extensibility. The present invention further relates to dressings such as bandages or tapes which are extensible so as to at least partially conform to a body contour at wound surface upon stretching of the dressing.
