An Adhesive Wafer with a Neutralizer Matrix
20210177641 · 2021-06-17 ·

An adhesive wafer for an ostomy device, the wafer comprising a skin-facing adhesive layer, a backing layer on the non-skin-facing side of the adhesive layer, and a hole for accommodating a stoma. On the central portion of the backing layer is located a release layer being configured to release a neutralizer. The neutralizer is capable of neutralizing or at least minimizing the level of skin or adhesive aggressiveness of the output.

MULTIFUNCTIONAL RELEASE LINER FOR DRESSINGS

Disclosed is dressing having a backing layer, an (absorbent) pad, an adhesive coating and a release liner. The release liner is releasably attached to the adhesive coating. The release liner is configured to stiffen up and protect protrusions and/or border portions of the dressing that may otherwise be wrinkled, folded, kinked or otherwise damaged or impaired prior to (transportation or storage) or during application at the point-of-use. The dressing can be used for wound treatment. The dressing is suitable for preventing shear and/or friction from causing (deep tissue) skin damage, in particular for the prevention of pressure ulcers.

Nerve stimulation system

A treatment system including one or more of a wound dressing having one or more of a substrate element, a dressing member disposed on the substrate element, an adhesive element disposed on the substrate element, and a tether connecting the wound dressing to a treatment device.

ADHESION DEVICE

An adhesion device includes an adhesion sheet including an adhesion surface that is adherable to a biological surface, and a mounting surface located on a side opposite the adhesion surface; a device main body mounted to the mounting surface of the adhesion sheet; and a release sheet releasably adhered to the adhesion surface. The adhesion sheet includes a first portion to which the device main body is mounted, and a second portion to which the device main body is not mounted. The release sheet includes a release layer adhered to the adhesion surface of the adhesion sheet, and a folded layer formed of at least one layer and folded to a side, which is opposite to the adhesion surface with respect to the release layer, to be layered. The folded layer is layered on the release layer at least at a position of the second portion of the adhesion sheet.

Wound or skin treatment devices and methods

Devices, kits and methods described herein may be for treatment to skin, including but not limited to wound healing, the treatment, amelioration, and/or prevention of scars or keloids. A book-like packaging, applicator and/or tensioning device may be used to apply a dressing to a subject. The packaging, applicator and/or tensioning device may apply and/or maintain a strain in an elastic dressing.

SKIN TREATMENT DEVICES

Devices, kits and methods described herein may be for wound healing, including the treatment, amelioration, or prevention of scars and/or keloids by applying and/or maintaining a pre-determined strain in an elastic skin treatment device that is then affixed to the skin surface using skin adhesives to transfer a generally planar force from the bandage to the skin surface. Applicators are used to apply and/or maintain the strains, and some of the applicators are further configured to provide at least some mechanical advantage to the user when exerting loads onto the skin treatment device.

Pre-cut strips of kinesiology tape

One example embodiment includes a pre-cut strip of kinesiology tape. The pre-cut strip of kinesiology tape includes a fabric. The fabric includes a weave of fibers, where the fibers include an elastic fiber covered by a covering material. The fabric also includes a first end and a second end, where the second end is opposite the first end. The fabric further includes one or more rounded corners. The pre-cut strip of kinesiology tape also includes a longitudinal cut in the fabric. The longitudinal cut passes through at least a portion of the fabric and extends from the first end to a pre-determined distance from the second end. The pre-cut strip of kinesiology tape also includes adhesive on a first surface of the fabric, where the adhesive is configured to adhere the fabric to a human body.

Skin closure devices with interrupted closure

A device for application onto incisions or wounds with a liquid rapidly polymerizable adhesive for forming skin closure systems, having a flat porous mesh elongated along a longitudinal axis and having an upper side and an opposing lower or wound facing side and a central portion in immediate vicinity of the axis; further having a plurality of pores and windows in said mesh, said windows substantially larger than said pores and arranged along said longitudinal axis in said central portion; a crosslinking or polymerization accelerator or initiator disposed in or on the mesh; and a pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on at least a portion of the lower surface of the mesh.

WOUND CLEANSING APPARATUS IN-SITU

An apparatus for cleansing wounds, in which wound exudate is removed from a wound bed and selectively cleansed and returned to the wound. The cleansing means removes materials deleterious to wound healing, and the cleansed fluid, still containing materials that are beneficial in promoting wound healing, is returned to the wound bed. The associated wound dressing and cleansing means are conformable to the wound, and may have irrigant fluid circulated from a reservoir by a device for moving fluid through a flow path which passes through the dressing and a means for fluid cleansing and back to the dressing.

Wound dressing assembly

A wound dressing assembly includes a wound cover and a carrier. The wound cover has a length and width substantially greater than a height (or thickness), a first major surface, and a second major surface, opposite the first. The first major surface has disposed thereon a wound cover pressure sensitive adhesive comprising a colloidal absorbent, and it is arranged and configured to adhere to mammalian skin during use. The carrier has a length and width substantially greater than a height (or thickness), a first major surface, and a second major surface, opposite the first. The first major surface of the carrier is disposed in facing relation and is removably attached to the second major surface of the wound cover, and it has disposed thereon at least one pressure sensitive adhesive. After application of the wound cover to skin for use, the carrier is removable from the wound cover to leave the wound cover adhered to the skin.
