OZONE WATER MANUFACTURING DEVICE
The present invention provides a set of ozone water manufacturing device which can greatly reduce an unpleasant smell of ozone gas when ozone water is used for sterilizing hands and feet, and can save power consumption of a pump which operates for preventing stagnation of a water stream in an electrolytic bath. The ozone water manufacturing device includes an electrolytic bath and a mixer which atomizes air bubbles of the ozone gas in the ozone water flowing out of the electrolytic bath. Each of the electrode assemblies in an electrode unit within the electrolytic bath is inclined at the predetermined same angle in a vertical direction. The mixer includes a mixing case bottom and a mixing case main body. A vortex flow generating plate generates a violent water stream from the water stream within the mixing case main body.
PH gradients controlled by electrolysis, and their use in isoelectric focusing
A specified proton concentration in a volume (80) is produced by passing a controlled electrophoresis current through an adjacent electrophoresis volume (28) between a working electrode (26) and a counter electrode (24). An array of such volumes with specified proton concentration is used to provide the pH gradient for isoelectric focusing.
Flow-through oxygenator
An oxygen emitter which is an electrolytic cell is disclosed. When the anode and cathode are separated by a critical distance, very small microbubbles and nanobubbles of oxygen are generated. The very small oxygen bubbles remain in suspension, forming a solution supersaturated in oxygen. A flow-through model for oxygenating flowing water is disclosed. The use of supersaturated water for enhancing the growth of plants is disclosed. Methods for applying supersaturated water to plants manually, by drip irrigation or in hydroponic culture are described. The treatment of waste water by raising the dissolved oxygen with the use of an oxygen emitter is disclosed.
Bio-electrochemical system for treating wastewater
The invention relates to bio-electrochemical systems for treating wastewater, and sour gas produced by anaerobic digestion of organic material. The invention further relates to novel anode/cathode pairing schemes, and electric and hydraulic architectures for use in bio-electrochemical systems.
Electro-chemical filter apparatus
The invention provides a process apparatus and associated method comprising at least one elongate hollow semi-permeable member, at least one anode and at least one cathode. The anode and cathode are arranged radially and concentrically with respect to the semi-permeable member.
Electrochlorination System Configurations for the Generation of High Product Strength Solutions
An electrochlorination system comprises a source of feed fluid, a product fluid outlet, and a plurality of electrochemical cells connected fluidically between the source of feed fluid and the product fluid outlet. The system is configured to operate at least one of the plurality of electrochemical cells at one of a first current density or a first flow rate, and to operate another of the plurality of electrochemical cells at a second current density or second flow rate different from the respective first current density or first flow rate.
Method and apparatus for electrochemical dewatering of suspensions of cellulosic nanomaterials
A dewatering apparatus for cellulosic materials includes a chamber for an aqueous solution of a cellulosic material, an inner electrode in the chamber, an outer electrode in the chamber about the inner electrode, and a power supply connected to the inner electrode and the outer electrode applying a voltage potential across the electrodes to remove water associated with the aqueous solution and to dewater the cellulosic materials.
Electrochemical reactor system for treatment of water
An upright reactor body with a perforated interior tube member which extends for the length of the reactor body. A water inlet permits water to be treated into the perforated tube member. A fibrous metal anode surrounds the perforated tube member followed by a surrounding layer of dielectric and then a surrounding metal cathode layer, wherein water from the inlet passes radially through the perforations in the tube member, through the anode, dielectric and cathode members, emerging from the reactor body through an outlet. A DC voltage is imposed on the cathode and anode.
ZINC ION WATER TREATMENT DEVICE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a zinc ion water treatment device comprising: a zinc block having a plurality of through holes in the body thereof; and a fluororesin block having another plurality of through holes, wherein the side surface of the fluororesin block is provided in concave and convex forms.
Method Of Electrotreating Tailings To Create Geotechnical Structures
A method of electro treating tailings in a containment structure to cause a separation of at least some water from said tailings and a consolidation and compaction of at least some solid particles is shown. The method includes placing a plurality of first electrodes in the tailings to be treated generally along one side of a predetermined volume and placing a plurality of second electrodes in the tailings to be treated generally along an opposite side of said volume to the plurality of first electrodes, said first and second electrodes being spaced apart by a predetermined distance. The next step is applying a treatment current across said distance between said spaced first and second electrodes to create an electrical field which causes solids to consolidate at one of said plurality of first and second electrodes; and creating a geotechnical structure within said volume comprised of dewatered solids consolidated from said tailings around one of said electrodes. The geotechnical structure may be a layer at the bottom of the containment structure, along a side of the containment structure or across the top of a containment structure.
