MEDICAL DRESSING FOR A CONVEX BODY PART

Disclosed is a medical dressing having a pad and a border portion. The pad can have a rim and the border portion extends along said rim. The medical dressing can be arranged in a first substantially planar configuration and be folded along a first line, and a second portion of said medical dressing is formed and a second substantially cup-shaped configuration. The first portion can be facing and contacting said second portion. Said first substantially planar configuration the first and second portions can be connected by means of a fixed connection along a second line, which defines a second line segment having a first and a second end-point. The first and second line segments are connected at their respective first end-points such that an angle between 90 and 175 degrees is formed between the first and second line segments when the medical dressing is in the first substantially planar configuration.

Cannulated tube protector, apparatus operable to facilitate the flow of fluids through a cannulated site and apparatus operable to protect and maintain positioning of a catheter

A cannulated tube protector comprising a main body, a first pair of securing members extending from the main body, a second pair of securing members extending from the main body, and a splinting member comprising a viewing door. The viewing door is structured to open thereby exposing a viewing aperture, defined as a doorway. The doorway extends from a first surface of the main body to an opposing second surface of the main body.

CONFORMABLE WOUND DRESSING AND DELIVERY SYSTEM

Medical articles comprising a conformable wound dressing and delivery system. The wound dressing generally comprises a backing having a first major surface and a second major surface, an adhesive on the second major surface of the backing, and an absorbent pad proximate the second major surface of the backing. The backing extends beyond the perimeter of the absorbent pad, typically beyond the entire perimeter of the pad. The perimeter of the wound dressing has a concave feature that exhibits a local minimum. An axis extends from the local minimum to the perimeter of the wound dressing opposite the local minimum. The carrier overlies at least a portion of the backing on each side of the axis but does not overlie the backing along the axis. The wound dressing is especially designed for use on round or irregular shaped body parts, such as an elbow or heel.

An elbow joint supporter includes a first anchor section formed by wrapping one end of a tubular knitted fabric around the wearer's upper arm, a second anchor section formed by wrapping the other end of the fabric around the wearer's forearm, and a substantially X-shaped knitted supporting section intersecting at the wearer's cubital fossa. Two ends of the X-shaped knitted fabric are joined to the first anchor section and the other two ends of the X-shaped knitted fabric are joined to the second anchor section so as to support the wearer's elbow joint. In the circumferential direction of the fabric, the stretch resistances of the first anchor part and the second anchor part are larger than that of a base fabric section. In the length direction of the fabric, the stretch resistance of the supporting section is larger than that of the base fabric section.

EPICONDYLITIS PAD

Described herein is a truss pad having a base body, wherein the base body comprises a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, wherein the first surface of the base body comprises five pressure pads, wherein the first pressure pad is located in the center of a rectangle that is formed by the second pressure pad, the third pressure pad, the fourth pressure pad, and the fifth pressure pad.

Apparatus operable to protect and maintain positioning of an IV catheter

An apparatus operable to facilitate the flow of fluids through an intravenous site including a main body. The main body includes a first pair of securing members extending outward from the main body and a second pair of securing members extending outward from the main body. The apparatus further includes a splinting member with a longitudinal and latitudinal profile that includes a bell curved frustum shape.

Pressure-Distributing Wound Prevention and Treatment Device

A dressing or device to distribute pressure for the purpose of prevention and treatment of wounds and intact skin is provided. The pressure distributing properties are achieved by a closed cell foam material that is in direct contact with the intact skin or wound and that can also have the ability to manage and absorb moisture. These unique characteristics creates a flexible, and easy to use dressing that can be cut to size and applied to any desired location on a patient.

Is a taping method that follows a specific set of rules based on anatomical and physiological patterns in humans. This taping method causes a change in skeletal muscle tone in the human body, when tape is directly applied to the skin of the human body over targeted tendons and surrounding structures going over joints. This taping method will inhibit the muscle tone in the antagonist muscle of the opposing side of the joint where the tape is applied, while simultaneously eliciting the agonist of the muscle that are attached by the tendon of the joint where the tape is applied.
