Hand Dressing For Use With Negative Pressure Wound Therapy
A dressing includes a barrier film layer, a wound contact layer coupled to the barrier film layer, and a plurality of felted foam strips positioned between the barrier film layer and the wound contact layer. Each strip provides a manifolding pathway. The barrier film layer and the wound contact layer include a central region and a plurality of peninsular projections extending therefrom in the shape of a hand.
Ultrasonic oscillation-induced sericin extraction method and process for coating sericin in a glove
A novel ultrasonic oscillation-induced sericin extraction method produces a high-molecular-weight sericin solution from silk cocoon threads at room temperature. In one embodiment, unique pH variation-resistant alkaline ionic water is produced from a novel strongly-alkaline ionic water generator device, wherein the unique pH variation-resistant alkaline ionic water is subsequently utilized as a beneficial solvent that contributes to the feasibility of the novel ultrasonic oscillation-induced sericin extraction method at room temperature. The high-molecular-weight sericin solution produced and coated in a glove provides a high coating adhesion for economical manufacturing of sericin-coated gloves, while also providing superb skin moisturizing and protection properties. Furthermore, once coated in a glove, the high molecular weight of sericin beneficially resists a rapid skin seepage of sericin to human skin layers, thereby acting as natural moisturizing factor (NMF) simulants on top of the human skin layers when the glove is worn.
Post-Operative Carpal Tunnel Surgery Glove
This present patent application relates to a waterproof post-operative carpal tunnel surgery glove structured to be worn by an individual after experiencing a carpal tunnel surgery. The glove prevents a bandage and surgical stitches from getting wet for an extended period of time up to the point of the stitches being removed. The glove can be easily worn by sliding the glove over the fingers, palm, and wrist. The glove can be secured via a hook and loop fastener strap on the wrist area to conform to a wear's arm. A wearer can also adjust the fit of the glove to comfortably accommodate the hand using the hook and loop fastener strap. The glove keeps the bandage dry at all times and maximizes protection against water and cross-contamination of the bandage while hand washing, showering and the like.
IMPROVED SKIN SUBSTITUTE ADHERENCE, STRETCHABILITY, AND COMPLIANCE FOR SKIN SUBSTITUTES
An improved dressing is presented which enables quicker wound closure and a lower anesthesia requirement, comprised of an improved prior-art skin-substitute. The improvements consist of variations in the thickness of the woven portion of the dressing, to increase wound adherence.
COMPRESSION GARMENT
A compression garment that is operable to provide a compression force to a portion of the body of the wearer and wherein the outer surface thereof is configured to be washed and sanitized. The compression garment of the present invention if further configured to provide absorption of any moisture present adjacent the skin of the wearer during wearing of the compression garment. The compression garment includes an outer layer and an inner layer. The outer layer is manufactured from an expandable, waterproof and solvent resistant material. An inner layer is adjacent the outer layer and is manufactured from an absorbent material. A plurality of expansion joints are present in the inner layer so as to inhibit damage to the inner layer during expansion of the outer layer. The compression garment is washable so as to be properly cleaned and sanitized.
SUPPORTER
[Problem to be Solved]
To provide a finger supporter capable of stabilizing hand joints of a wearer and reducing a load on any one finger from among five fingers.
[Solution]
The finger supporter includes: a first anchor portion 2 that is formed at an upper end 10a of a tubular fabric and causes the tubular fabric to be fastened to a forearm wrist portion of a wearer; a second anchor portion 3 that is formed to continue two points of a circling portion on the other end side of the tubular fabric and forms the circling portion into two opening portions 12a and 12b with different sizes; and a first support portion 4 that couples the second anchor portion 3 and the first anchor portion 2 and supports any one finger inserted into the smaller opening portion 12a from among five fingers.
HANDCUFF
A handcuff for the treatment of the carpal tunnel syndrome of a hand, the handcuff comprising a base body including a dorsal section and a palmar section. The dorsal section is adapted to exert a pressure on the dorsal side of the hand at at least one location, the palmar section is arranged to exert a pressure on the palmar side of the hand on both sides of the carpal tunnel respectively at at least one location on both sides of the carpal tunnel, and the dorsal section and the palmar section are arranged to widen the carpal tunnel of the hand by the exertion of pressure. In embodiments, the base body has, between the dorsal section and the palmar section, two substantially opposite open slots, between the dorsal section and the palmar section, and the slots are adapted to receive the thumb of the left or the right hand.
Sensitivity enhancement wearable
A sensitivity enhancement wearable having at least one aperture possessing unique attributes so that a sensitivity enhanced region of a body extends through the aperture thereby creating increased sensitivity in the sensitivity enhanced region.
Compression garment for provision of an adjustable pressure
A compression garment for providing an adjustable pressure towards a body part is disclosed. The compression garment comprises a unitary single sheet of elastic material arranged to encircle the full circumference of a body part, such as a limb or the head. The sheet is folded or arranged to be folded in at least one predefined way, so that the folding forms one or more defined overlap(s) forming at least two overlaying layers of the sheet encircling the full circumference of a part of the body part. Hereby, the pressure profile of the garment can easily be adjusted by making use of the garment in different folded configurations. Markings may further be provided to provide guidance towards the predefined ways of folding.
Dynamic taping method for inhibition and elicitation of skeletal muscle tone
Is a taping method that follows a specific set of rules based on anatomical and physiological patterns in humans. This taping method causes a change in skeletal muscle tone in the human body, when tape is directly applied to the skin of the human body over targeted tendons and surrounding structures going over joints. This taping method will inhibit the muscle tone in the antagonist muscle of the opposing side of the joint where the tape is applied, while simultaneously eliciting the agonist of the muscle that are attached by the tendon of the joint where the tape is applied.
