Nail and Nail Bed Protecting Bandage
A combined bandage having an attachment portion for overlying and circumscribing a human digit with an injured nail and nail bed that is configured with a plurality of extensions to wrap around the injured digit and secure the bandage in place. A protective portion sized to overlie the injured nail and nail bed and affixed to the attachment portion of the bandage within an exterior sleeve for providing a solid reinforcing surface to protect the injured nail and nail bed from further injury through direct force, pressure or incidental striking.
Negative pressure wound treatment system
A protective and permissive healing medical device comprising a sealable enclosure made from a flexible and see-though dressing, coupled with a scaffold structure capable of separating portions of the inner surface of the sealable enclosure from the outer portions of an extremity sealed inside the device, a plurality of ports for delivering materials into and extracting mediums from the sealable enclosure consistent with a therapeutic environment for the injury within the device, and a plurality of digit receiving portions facilitating individually articulable movement during healing within the sealable enclosure.
Dynamic Taping Method for Inhibition and Elicitation of Skeletal Muscle Tone
Is a taping method that follows a specific set of rules based on anatomical and physiological patterns in humans. This taping method causes a change in skeletal muscle tone in the human body, when tape is directly applied to the skin of the human body over targeted tendons and surrounding structures going over joints. This taping method will inhibit the muscle tone in the antagonist muscle of the opposing side of the joint where the tape is applied, while simultaneously eliciting the agonist of the muscle that are attached by the tendon of the joint where the tape is applied.
Glove and Sock Burn Dressing with Variable Pore Sizes
An improved glove-shaped dressing for hands is presented which enables quicker wound closure and a lower anesthesia requirement, comprised of two hand-shaped pieces of an improved prior-art skin-substitute brought together with a sealing means and fitted to the hand with surgical staples.
LATTICE STRUCTURE MADE BY ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
The present invention relates to free-form structures made by additive manufacturing, and methods for the manufacture thereof. The rigid free-form structures comprise a lattice structure which is impregnated by a polymeric or other material. The rigid free-form structures may be used in wound treatment, e.g., as a facial mask.
Sensitivity enhancement glove
A sensitivity enhancement glove having at least one sleeve with a unique aperture to enhance performance by capitalizing on neuroanatomy and create hyper sensitivity and thereby enhance effects on proprioception and simultaneous musculoskeletal functions.
Multilayer garments worn during wound care
A wound recovery garment includes a multilayer fabric. The multilayer fabric comprises a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The multilayer fabric draws moisture from the skin tissues, including wounded or burned tissue recovering from trauma. The first layer removes moisture from wounded tissue without sticking to skin. The first layer is formed from compressive, elastic material that supplies compression forces to tissue. The second layer is an absorbent layer that receives the moisture from the first layer and stores tissue moisture in a sponge-like fashion. The second layer is disposed between the first layer and the third layer. The third layer is an exterior layer and is visible to outside viewers. No body fluid or blood leaks through the third layer. Individuals recovering from trauma are able to comfortably go outside without being concerned with body fluids soaking through and being visible to others.
ELECTRONIC MASSAGING ORTHOTIC COMPRESSION GLOVE
An electronic vibrating compression glove which simultaneously provides compression and vibration therapy to arthritic hands.
Disposable card barrier assembly for personal skin hygiene
The invention is a paper based card with an assembly of adhesive sheet, barrier strip and wax paper that is utilized to minimize transfer of particles between individuals and object surfaces. A disposable strip in the assembly, upon wear, adheres to the skin and serves as a barrier to minimize transfer of particles. This low cost invention is stackable, easy to carry, suited for routine use and facilitates easy wear of the barrier strip by placing selective regions of the palm on the cards. The invention complements other common methods such as hand washing and hand sanitizing which are routinely used to maintain hygiene and differentiates itself from other related inventions. The strips after wear promote hygiene and minimize direct contact with particles, thus addressing some of the limitations of the existing methods.
WEARING SET CAPABLE OF PREVENTING OVERLAPPED ARTICLES FROM SLIDING PAST EACH OTHER
A wearing set capable of preventing overlapped articles from sliding past each other, including a first wearing article having at least one first engaging effect zone, and a second wearing article having at least one second engaging effect zone; where one zone of the first engaging effect zone and the second engaging effect zone has a tangling-hairs fabric and the other zone has a textured-loops fabric, the tangling-hairs fabric including a plurality of tangling-hairs fibers protruding outwardly from a surface thereof, the tangling-hairs fibers having curled terminals or ball-shaped terminals; the textured-loops fabric including a plurality of fibriform loops on a surface thereof; and when the tangling-hairs fabric and the textured-loops fabric are overlapped to contact each other, the fibriform loops will be engaged or adhered with the tangling-hairs fibers to prevent the first wearing article from sliding relative to the second wearing article.
