A crucible having a heat treated body. The heat treated body comprises a composition including an oxide material, from 5 wt % to 50 wt % a nitride material, and optionally a sintering aid. A weight ratio of the nitride material to the oxide material ranges from 0.02:1 to 2.0:1. The heat treated body has an oxide material lattice structure with nitride material at least partially encapsulated therein.
HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE BODY, HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE FILTER, AND EXTRUSION MOLDING DIE
Disclosed are a honeycomb structure body, a honeycomb structure filter and an extrusion molding die for a honeycomb structure body, which belong to the field of vehicle exhaust purification materials. The honeycomb structure body includes a honeycomb body and a skin layer around the honeycomb body, the honeycomb body including axially-extending channels defined by a porous wall, wherein a radial path of a radial section of the honeycomb body from a central axis to the skin layer consists of a porous wall inner section and a porous wall outer section in sequence, an average wall thickness of inner porous walls provided in the porous wall inner section is smaller than an average wall thickness of outer porous walls provided in the porous wall outer section, and a length of the porous wall inner section in the radial path accounts for 71%-95%. The arrangement of the specific structure of the honeycomb structure body of the present application not only increases the strength of the honeycomb structure body, but also ensures good thermal shock resistance and small back pressure of the honeycomb structure body; and the honeycomb structure body of the present application is prepared by integral molding, thereby achieving high production efficiency and low preparation cost.
Ceramic slurries for additive manufacturing techniques
A ceramic slurry for forming a ceramic article includes a binder, a first plurality of ceramic particles having a first morphology, a second plurality of ceramic particles having a second morphology that is different from the first morphology; and a photoinitiator. A method for using this slurry for fabricating ceramic articles is presented as well.
CRYSTALLINE SILICA FREE LOW BIOPERSISTENCE INORGANIC FIBER
An inorganic fiber containing silica, alumina, one or more alkali metal oxides, and one or more of alkaline earth metal oxides, transition metal oxides, or lanthanide series metal oxides. The inorganic fiber exhibits good thermal performance at use temperatures of 1260° C. and greater, retains mechanical integrity after exposure to the use temperatures, is free of crystalline silica upon devitrification, is alkali flux resistant, exhibits low bio-persistence in an acidic medium, and exhibits low dissolution in a neutral medium. Also provided are thermal insulation products incorporating the inorganic fibers, a method for preparing the inorganic fiber and a method of thermally insulating articles using thermal insulation prepared from the inorganic fibers.
EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION FILTER
An exhaust gas purification filter is used so as to support a NO.sub.X purification catalyst. The exhaust gas purification filter includes a honeycomb structure portion and a plug portion. The honeycomb structure portion includes a partition wall and cells. Numerous pores are formed in the partition wall. The cells are partitioned by the partition walls and form a flow path for an exhaust gas. The plug portion alternately seals an inflow end surface or an outflow end surface for the exhaust gas in the cells. The partition wall has a gas permeability coefficient that is equal to or greater than 0.35×10.sup.−12 m.sup.2, a pore volume ratio of pore diameters of 9 μm or less that is equal to or less than 25%, and an average pore diameter that is equal to or greater than 12 μm.

Disclosed are ceramic bodies comprised of composite cordierite-mullite-aluminum magnesium titanate (CMAT) ceramic compositions having high cordierite-to-mullite ratio and methods for the manufacture of same.
Batch for producing an unshaped refractory ceramic product, method for producing an unshaped refractory ceramic product, and an unshaped refractory ceramic product produced thereby
The invention relates to a batch for producing an unshaped refractory ceramic product, to a method for producing an unshaped refractory ceramic product, and to an unshaped refractory ceramic product produced by the method.
DIELECTRIC CERAMIC COMPOSITION AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENT
Provided is a dielectric ceramic composition comprising a main component of forsterite and calcium strontium titanate. A content ratio of forsterite in the main component is from 84.0 to 92.5 parts by mole, and a content ratio of calcium strontium titanate is from 7.5 to 16.0 parts by mole. (Sr+Ca)/Ti in the calcium strontium titanate is from 1.03 to 1.20 in terms of a molar ratio. With respect to a total of 100 parts by mass of the main component and a subcomponent except for Li-containing glass, from 2 to 10 parts by mass of Li-containing glass is added. The Li-containing glass includes Al.sub.2O.sub.3 in an amount of from 1% by mass to 10% by mass.
HONEYCOMB FILTER
A honeycomb filter includes a pillar-shaped honeycomb structure body having a porous partition wall disposed to surround a plurality of cells which serve as fluid through channels extending from a first end face to a second end face; and a plugging portion provided at an open end on the first end face side or the second end face side of each of the cells, wherein the partition wall is composed of a material containing cordierite as a main component thereof, and a number per unit area of pores which exist at a surface of the partition wall and which have equivalent circle diameters exceeding 3.0 μm is 600 per mm.sup.2 or more.
