METHOD OF PRODUCING A CUSTOM-FIT ORTHOPEDIC IMMOBILIZATION DEVICE
A method and system for creating a custom-fit orthopedic cast comprises obtaining at least one measurements taken from at least one image of a body part, selecting a template cast, modifying the template cast according to the measurements taken from the at least one image to generate a custom cast model and rendering a custom cast based on the custom cast model.
CARPAL TUNNEL WRIST BRACE
A brace for treating/preventing carpal tunnel injury including a body having a proximal end and a distal end defining s longitudinal direction, the body including a forearm support at the body proximal end, a wrist support coupled to the forearm support by a neck portion, the wrist support comprising a first palmar strap support, a first member and a second member extending from the wrist support in the longitudinal direction towards the distal end, a distal palmar support, a proximal palmar aperture, a palm band having a second palmar strap support, and a palmar strap, extending between a proximal end attached to the first palmar strap support to a distal end, the palmer strap configured to extend across a portion of the back of the hand and over a purlicue of the hand, the distal end of the palmar strap configured to removably attach to the distal palmar support.
ACUPRESSURE SLEEVE HAVING FAR INFRARED AND NEGATIVE ION DOUBLE EFFECT ENERGY
An acupressure sleeve for applying acupressure to predetermined acupoints on an arm of a user includes a sleeve body and an acupressure unit. The sleeve body is configured to elastically and tightly press against the arm of the user when the acupressure sleeve is worn by the user. The sleeve body has a fiber substrate, and a plurality of far-infrared particles and a plurality of negative ion particles blended in the fiber substrate. The acupressure unit includes a plurality of acupressure protrusions protruding from the fiber substrate into an interior of the sleeve body and configured to apply acupressure to the arm of the user at positions respectively corresponding to the predetermined acupoints.
FOAM SLEEVE GARMENT WITH EASY ACCESS FEATURE
A chip sleeve garment including an outer layer of fabric connected to an inner layer of fabric to form a sleeve with a space between the outer layer of fabric and the inner layer of fabric. Foam chips, flat foam, or foam with ridges are disposed in the space between the outer layer of fabric and the inner layer of fabric. The garment includes two ends, including at least one open end, and a notch in at least one open end having an opening. The notch can be separated to create a larger opening than the opening to allow the garment to be donned or doffed easier than the opening allows. A second garment can be disposed over the chip sleeve garment. Either the chip sleeve garment, the second garment, or both can be compression garments.
THERMALLY-CONDUCTIVE BANDAGES AND WRAPS
Provided herein are compositions and methods for providing a combination of compression and temperature therapy. In particular, provided herein are compression bandages that transmit cooling or heating to an injury.
Carpal tunnel wrist brace
A brace for treating/preventing carpal tunnel injury including a body having a proximal end and a distal end defining s longitudinal direction, the body including a forearm support at the body proximal end, a wrist support coupled to the forearm support by a neck portion, the wrist support comprising a first palmar strap support, a first member and a second member extending from the wrist support in the longitudinal direction towards the distal end, a distal palmar support, a proximal palmar aperture, a palm band having a second palmar strap support, and a palmar strap, extending between a proximal end attached to the first palmar strap support to a distal end, the palmar strap configured to extend across a portion of the back of the hand and over a purlicue of the hand, the distal end of the palmar strap configured to removably attach to the distal palmar support.
ABG stretch tape
An adhesive elastomeric tape comprising 90 grade cheesecloth that is knitted with a medium gauge elastic yarn through a stitch bonding machine. The cloth is then coated with a petroleum base adhesive using a unique strike through method that allows a adhesive to pass through while coating both sides. A style of athletic tape that is flexible, durable, and adhesive simultaneously.
WRAP AND METHOD TO PROVIDE COMPRESSION, AND PROTECTION TO BODY PART OF USER
Disclosed is a wrap which is removably attached with a body part of a user to provide support, compression and protection. The wrap includes first sensing unit, second sensing unit, movement unit, adjuster unit, and DC motor unit. The first sensing unit senses the physiological state of the user's body. The second sensing unit measures the dimension of the body part of the user. The body part is selected from at least one of: wrist, ankle, lower back, knee and/or combination thereof. The movement unit receives sensed information from first sensing unit, and second sensing unit to support an inflate mechanism and deflate mechanism to provide desired support and compression to the body part of the user. The adjuster unit configured with the movement unit to engage or disengage the wrap from the body part of the user. The DC motor unit which further includes a rechargeable battery powers the first sensing unit, second sensing unit, movement unit, and the adjuster unit.
WRIST BRACE FOR PROTECTING INTEGRITY OF THE CARPAL TUNNEL
A wrist brace for providing temporary comfort to sufferers of wrist pain. The wrist brace ovates the carpal tunnel through a pair of crisscrossing guylines each independently anchored on a wrist strap. One guyline hooks to the pinky finger and the other guyline hooks to the thumb. The guylines overlap at an X that is offset from the wrist strap over the palm. The anchor points of the guylines can be independently moved to change the tensions there along. The guylines can be used in conjunction with popular wrist-worn devices and jewelry or a dedicated wrist strap fitted with a hook-and-loop faster system.
DEVICES FOR TREATMENT OF CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME
The present disclosure describes soft-robotic wearable devices to treat and/or relieve Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, for example during typing assist applications. Soft actuators within the device adjust the angle of the wearer's wrist angle dynamically to achieve a neutral angle, alleviating the pressure on the median nerve and relieving Carpal Tunnel Syndrome strain.
