A package for compartmentalized preservation of harvested fruit or vegetables and methods are disclosed. The package may include a first flexible polymer film, comprising integral molded or vacuum formed cups configured to hold a fruit or vegetable, wherein the integral molded or vacuum formed cups can be collapsed into a plane of the first polymer film or extended from the first polymer film; and a second flexible polymer film configured to overlay the first polymer film. In some embodiments, the cups containing the fruit or vegetable may be inflated and sealed to form protective bubbles.

The present invention relates to methods for modifying an agricultural crop comprising treating the agricultural crop with a composition comprising a xyloglucan endotransglycosylase and (a) a polymeric xyloglucan and a functionalized xyloglucan oligomer comprising a chemical group; (b) a polymeric xyloglucan functionalized with a chemical group and a functionalized xyloglucan oligomer comprising a chemical group; (c) a polymeric xyloglucan functionalized with a chemical group and a xyloglucan ligomer; (d) a polymeric xyloglucan, and a xyloglucan oligomer; (e) a polymeric xyloglucan functionalized with a chemical group; (f) a polymeric xyloglucan; (g) a functionalized xyloglucan oligomer comprising a chemical group; or (h) a xyloglucan oligomer, or (a-h) without a xyloglucan endotransglycosylase, in a medium under conditions leading to a modified agricultural crop possessing an improved property compared to the unmodified agricultural crop. The present invention also relates to a modified agricultural crop obtained by such methods.

The irradiation disinfection module controls irradiation disinfection equipment and a sprayer, so that ultraviolet rays are used to assist in sterilization while a natural preservative is sprayed, thereby achieving a purpose of efficient combination and freshness retaining. The online monitoring unit performs, through a sensor, real-time detection on the vegetables being disinfected, to ensure that vegetable disinfection meets a production standard, and transmits a detected result to an automatic feedback module. Meanwhile, because of non-toxic and environmentally-friendly characteristics, a natural component is more in line with a healthy consumption need.

A method for extending the rutab stage date palm fruit. The method can include obtaining leaves from a date palm tree, obtaining date fruit at rutab stage, drying the leaves to obtain dried date palm leaves, reducing the dried date palm leaves to a powder, and covering the rutab stage date fruit with the powder to obtain a powder-covered date fruit. In an embodiment, the powder can be disposed in a container and the rutab stage date fruit can be immersed in the powder within the container.
