WEARABLE REHABILITATION AND RELAXATION AID
A wearable rehabilitation and relaxation sleeve aid is described that provides support and therapeutic benefits to an injured area. The wearable sleeve aid includes a first inner protective layer and an outer protective layer that form a pocket area between them. A removable pack may be inserted in the pocket area. The removable pack may be cooled or heated to bring the removable pack to the desired temperature. The wearable sleeve aid further provides compression to the targeted recovery area of a user's body to reduce swelling and pain.
CONTOURED FOAM DRESSING SHAPED FOR PROVIDING NEGATIVE PRESSURE TO INCISIONS IN THE SHOULDER
A negative pressure wound treatment (NPWT) dressing system for treating shoulder incisions. The NPWT dressing system includes a wound dressing, an immobilization device configured to immobilize a shoulder of a patient, and a negative pressure source coupled to the immobilization device. The wound dressing includes a drape layer, a manifold layer, and a reduced-pressure interface integrated with the drape layer and the negative pressure source. The drape layer has a first surface and a second, wound-facing, surface. The drape layer is substantially impermeable to liquid and substantially permeable to vapor. The manifold layer has a first surface and a second, wound-facing surface. The manifold layer has a first lobe, a second lobe substantially aligned with the first lobe, and a third lobe extending substantially perpendicular to the first lobe and the second lobe.
Functional shoulder support brace with cabling system
The present invention relates to a shoulder brace for the rehabilitation of patients that suffer from shoulder instability. The shoulder brace uses a novel elevation and compression cabling system to stabilize and approximate the humerus to glenoid fossa. More specifically, the present invention allows an individual that suffers from shoulder instability to easily put on and, while wearing the device, adjust all forces that approximate their shoulder without the assistance of another individual. The design will also allow the individual the ability to have functional movement. This will give someone who has become dependent on others to regain a greater degree of independence.
Dynamic joint stabilizer
A reusable joint stabilizer for application to a joint of a patient, the stabilizer including a web having a pattern selected to provide a desired stability and restriction in the range of motion of the joint, the web being securable about the joint of the patient and formed of a plurality of flexible and non-stretchable strips interconnected in a desired pattern and a plurality of non-adhesive and reusable flexible tacky strips aligned with and connected to at least selected ones of the non-stretchable strips for positioning adjacent to skin of the patient proximate the joint. The tacky strips transfer forces between the exterior of the web and the skin of the patient contacted by the tacky strips to provide a desired stability of the joint and a desired restriction in the range of motion of the joint.
WOUND THERAPY DEVICE, KIT, AND METHOD FOR IMPROVED APPLICATION TO WOUNDS ON COMPLEX GEOMETRIES
A negative pressure wound therapy device, kit, and method are provided for improved treatment of wounds on complex three-dimensional anatomies. The device includes a conformable manifold made of a porous and permeable material with a pattern of cuts designed to transform the manifold from a relaxed, planar state to a pliable three-dimensional state when extended along the lateral axis. The kit further may include a wound interface layer, an adhesive, breathable drape, and a pneumatic connection to a negative pressure wound therapy device. Finally, a method for treating wounds using reduced pressure and the presently disclosed kit is provided.
COMPRESSION FABRICS WITH TAILORED COMFORT
Certain embodiments according to the invention provide compression articles suitable for a wide variety of uses (e.g., compression socks, athletic garments, etc.). In accordance with certain embodiments, the compression article includes at least two uniform compression regions, including a first uniform compression region having a first compression pressure and a second uniform compression region having a second compression pressure, and at least one transitioning compression region, including a first transitioning compression region positioned between the first and second uniform compression regions. The first transitioning compression region comprises a first end adjacent or proximate to the first uniform compression region and a second end adjacent or proximate to the second uniform compression region. The first transitioning compression region comprises a compression pressure gradient extending from the first end to the second end of the first transitioning compression region.
Orthotic Shoulder Support
An orthotic support comprises a shoulder section for encapsulating a first shoulder of a wearer, a glove section for conforming to at least a portion of the wearer's hand, and a sleeve section for conforming to the wearer's arm, the sleeve section connecting the shoulder section to the glove section. A resilient reinforcement extends from the glove section to the shoulder section, and at least a portion of the reinforcement extends in a spiral around the sleeve section, so that the reinforcement is configured to apply a rotational force to the wearer's arm, when worn, to urge a portion of the wearer's arm to rotate in a predetermined direction. The orthotic support may be usable to treat or prevent shoulder dislocation or subluxation, arm over-pronation or over-supination, wrist flexion or elbow flexion. An orthotic support may comprise a reinforcement with a first branch extending over an anterior portion of the sleeve section, and a second branch extending over a posterior portion of the sleeve section, so that the reinforcement is configured to urge the wearer's upper arm towards a rest position.
A COMPRESSION GARMENT
A compression garment is disclosed. The garment can include a body dimensioned to wrap at least partially around a length of a torso of a user. A plurality of tension bands can be positioned along the body. The garment can include at least one shoulder strap, wherein the shoulder strap is operable to wrap over the shoulder of the user to hold the garment in position.

PRE-FORMED ABSORBENT WOUND DRESSING, COMPRESSION SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE
A pre-formed absorbent wound dressing including at least three layers of a porous hydrophilic wound contact layer, an absorbent layer and a hydrophobic moisture transfer layer, as well as an optional wicking layer. The pre-formed absorbent wound dressing is shaped and pre-formed configured for application on a selected or target body part such as a foot, ankle, leg, calf, knee, thigh, hip, torso, chest, shoulder, arm, elbow, wrist, hand, neck, and head. An inventive compression system includes the pre-formed absorbent wound dressing under a therapeutic compression apparatus.
