Hernia Belt Systems
The present hernia belt ostomy support system is designed to provide support to a hernia and house a medical device (e.g., an ostomy appliance) within a compartment, wherein the device is comfortable, supportive, inconspicuous, and aesthetically pleasing.
ENDOSCOPY BAND WITH SIGMOID SUPPORT APPARATUS
An endoscopy sigmoid support apparatus that includes a primary wrap sized for placement around a subject's lower abdomen. A closing mechanism is provided at the end of the primary wrap to secure the primary wrap around the abdomen of the subject by attaching a first end of the primary wrap to a second portion of the primary wrap. A strap extends from the primary wrap and is configured to extend across at least a portion of the primary wrap and to fasten to a third portion of the primary wrap to adjust the amount of pressure applied by the endoscopy sigmoid support apparatus.
Method and apparatus for a customizable hernia compression with breathable substrate
A method and apparatus for a customizable, hernia compression with breathable substrate comprised of a one-piece, pelvic belt with built-in perineal strap(s) made of a breathable laminate material, such as but not limited to Airflex2 liner and the like as well as an exterior made entirely of Velcro loop fabric. Said invention also having plurality of separate, planar, hooked, Velcro compression strips allowing a user to position and apply the precise amount of pressure at the precise angle to allow maximum hernia support. The invention also having two embodiments: one with a single, compression pad pocket and another with dual, compression pad pockets (for single and dual hernias). An object of the invention is to provide enhanced, user-based hernia compression support.
Medical dressing to treat sucking chest wound
A medical dressing configured to be applied to a chest wound, the dressing including: a flexible main membrane including a front surface configured to face a chest of a patient and a back surface opposite to the front surface, wherein the flexible main membrane includes an opening; an adhesive layer on the front surface of the main membrane wherein the adhesive layer extends entirely around the opening; a flexible sealing membrane entirely covering the opening of the flexible main and overlapping at least a portion of the main membrane; an annular array of joints sandwiched between the sealing membrane and the main membrane, wherein the array of joints extends around the opening; and vent passages sandwiched between the main membrane and the sealing membrane, wherein vent passages each extend between an adjacent pair of the joints and defines an air passage from the opening and to an outer edge of the sealing membrane.
LEOTARD WITH BUILT IN COMPRESSION
A compression leotard is provided to aid the performance of athletes where compression panels are incorporated to mimic and support specific muscle groups, while aiding muscle metabolism and protecting joints. Panels are sized and positioned to apply a targeted pressure over a known area, such as hips, shoulders and spine, to reduce inflammation and stress on joints in the body core.
Method and apparatus for enhanced visualization during endoscopy
A method and apparatus for improving adenoma detection, including applying compression to the abdomen of a patient and maintaining compression of the abdomen of the patient during withdrawal of an endoscope. The compression may be applied by wrapping a band of elastic material around the abdomen of a patient and connecting one end of the band to another portion of the band to maintain tension in the band in order to apply compression to the abdomen of the patient. Aspects may also include tensioning the band prior to connecting the one end of the band to the another portion of the band to apply a desired degree of pressure to the patient's abdomen through contraction of the band across at least a portion of the patient's abdomen.
POSTPARTUM BODY SUPPORT BINDER
The present invention provides a body support binder (100) for correcting diastasis recti and pubic symphasis separation adapted to encircle and support abdomen and thigh regions. The body support binder comprises a front section (104) and a rear section (102) and a removable fastener affixed to a fastener panel (106) on the front side characterized in that the rear section (102) having at least two stretching directions preferably crosswise and lengthwise and the front section (104) stretches in one direction preferably from selvedge to selvedge.
Method and apparatus for tensile colonoscopy compression
A method and apparatus for applying pressure to the abdomen of a patient to facilitate the insertion of a colonoscope is characterized by the use of a tensile compression device in the form of an elastic band which is wrapped around the patient's abdomen and secured in place. The tension of the band is adjusted to apply a desired degree of pressure to the patient's abdomen to reduce loops in the patient's colon so that the colonoscope can be fully inserted into the colon with minimal discomfort to the patient. The ends of the device are connected together when the desired degree of tension is obtained so that constant pressure and support are provided to the patient's colon. Addition pressure can be manually applied simultaneously with the pressure from the tensile device to reduce or eliminate more distal loops in the colon.
Therapeutic bandage/dressing/covering for human penis fitted with catheter
A therapeutic bandage/dressing/covering for use with a human penis fitted with a catheter that extends from a human's bladder through, and beyond the opening from the penis glans, is placed over the distal end of the penis, including the glans, and onto the surface of the catheter where the catheter protrudes from the glans. The covering surface that lies against the skin of the penis, penis glans, and the distal opening in the penis, may be padded, flexible or, rigid, and, optionally, medicated and/or lubricated, to minimize skin abrasion and promote cleanliness/sterility of the glans, the contiguous penis shaft, and other delicate penile tissues.
ADJUSTABLE ORTHOSTATIC INTOLERANCE SYSTEM AND GARMENT
An adjustable orthostatic intolerance garment formed of a knitted spandex powernet construction in order to provide compression when on the leg, and including legs and a torso portion that extends upwardly into the abdominal area below the pectoral muscles; and a respective pair of elongate panels that are retained in place by attaching elements, and that are introduced into or removed from the garment to increase or reduce compression on the wearer's body as desired.
