The crotch panel system comprises a bottom crotch panel, a unitary top layer crotch panel defining a shaped hole in the center, and an additional crotch panel layer attached to the bottom crotch panel. The shaped hole defined in the unitary top layer crotch panel defines a perimeter. An elastic border extends around the perimeter of the shaped hole, and the elastic border is configured to stretch to facilitate insertion of an object. The additional crotch panel layer is attached to the bottom crotch panel to provide stability of the object placed within the crotch panel system.

The crotch piece of the undergarment can extend high enough and be wide enough on the front side of the garment's main body so as to offer an adequate area of protection to the user.

The crotch area comprises: a first layer, a second layer, a third layer and a fourth layer, the first layer is an innermost layer, the fourth layer is an outermost layer, and the second and third layers are intermediate layers extending between the first and fourth layers. At least one of the first to fourth layers comprises a moisture-wicking material or a waterproof material, and each of the first to fourth layers is, independently, a single layer or a plurality of layers.
