Corneal implants
Reversibly deformable corneal implants for replacing excised corneal tissue, the implants including an optical portion and an anchoring portion having different mechanical properties from each other.
ANNULOPLASTY DEVICE
An annuloplasty device is disclosed comprising first and second support rings having a coiled configuration in which the first and second support rings are arranged as a coil around a central axis, wherein the first and second support rings are configured to be arranged on opposite sides of native heart valve leaflets of a heart valve, the first and second support rings have respective free ends, a line attached at a proximal connection at a proximal tip of a first end of one of the free ends. A method of retrieving an annuloplasty device from an implantation site at a heart valve is disclosed.
Stabilizing and adjusting tool for controlling a minimally invasive mitral / tricuspid valve repair system
Disclosed herein are embodiments related to a method for performing a minimally invasive procedure, the method including delivering an annuloplasty ring in a linear shape using a delivery system. In some embodiments, the delivery of the annuloplasty ring may utilize a trans-septal approach or a trans-apical. In some embodiments, the delivery system may position the annuloplasty ring using a flexible stabilizing mechanism and/or activate one or more anchors to extend outward from the annuloplasty ring.
MODULAR PROSTHESIS FOR AT LEAST PARTIAL REPLACEMENT OF A TUBULAR BONE ADJOINING A JOINT
Modular endoprosthesis for at least partial replacement of a tubular bone, comprising, as module components, a stem for insertion into a bone cavity of the tubular bone, and an end piece comprising a support body with a neck part arranged on the medial aspect thereof. Said module components being able to be coupled to each other and released from each other along a longitudinal axis of the shaft. The end piece has at least two different surface configurations on its support body, namely a closed surface (6′) on a medial aspect, and a porous configuration of the surface on the opposite, lateral aspect. The latter permits and positions the adhesion of muscle tissue, specifically without suturing. The muscle trauma caused by suturing, and the peak loads that occur at the respective suture points, can thus be avoided by virtue of the invention, by means of the location-specific direct adhesion of the muscle. It is thus possible to achieve quicker and reliable mobilization of the patient, and this with a reduced risk of complications.
SUPRA AORTIC ACCESS TRIFURCATED MODULAR STENT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
The techniques of this disclosure generally relate to an assembly including a trifurcated modular stent device. The trifurcated modular stent device includes a main body, a bypass gate extending distally from a distal end of the main body, a primary artery leg extending distally from the distal end of the main body, and a distal artery leg extending distally from the distal end of the main body. The trifurcated modular stent device is delivered via supra aortic access such that the primary artery leg is deployed within the brachiocephalic artery providing immediate perfusion thereof.
Prosthetic ankle and foot combination
A prosthetic ankle and foot combination has an ankle joint mechanism constructed to allow damped rotational movement of a foot component relative to a shin component. The mechanism provides a continuous hydraulically damped range of ankle motion during walking with dynamically variable damping resistances, and with independent variation of damping resistances in the plantar-flexion and dorsi-flexion directions. An electronic control system coupled to the ankle joint mechanism includes at least one sensor for generating signals indicative of a kinetic or kinematic parameter of locomotion, the mechanism and the control system being arranged such that the damping resistances effective over the range of motion of the ankle are adapted automatically in response to such signals. Single and dual piston hydraulic damping arrangements are disclosed, including arrangements allowing independent heel-height adjustment.
Glenoidal component, set of such components and shoulder prosthesis incorporating such a glenoidal component
This glenoidal component for a shoulder prosthesis comprises a base which may be immobilized on the glenoid cavity of a shoulder, and an element provided to be mounted on this base and forming a convex surface of articulation centred on an axis of symmetry. This axis of symmetry is non perpendicular to a rear face of the base intended to abut against the glenoid cavity, this making it possible to compensate a defect in parallelism between the resectioned surface of the glenoid cavity and the axis of the patient's spinal column. A surgeon can select the component in which the axes of symmetry of the components are oriented differently with respect to their rear faces.
Stent delivery system having retention structure
A stent delivery system including an elongate shaft of a medical device, a stent selectively coupled to a distal portion of the elongate shaft, and a coupling mechanism for selectively coupling the stent to the elongate shaft by inserting a tab on one of the stent or the elongate shaft into an opening in the other of the stent or the elongate shaft. The tab may be deflected from a first position to a second position to disengage the tab from the opening.
PROTECTIVE EYE SHIELD
A wearable medical device assembly for therapeutic treatment of a person includes: a wearable medical device configured to be applied over a portion of the person; a first anchor and a second anchor each comprising an adhesive configured to affix the respective anchor to the person's skin; and an attachment system that selectively attaches the wearable medical device to the first anchor and the second anchor, wherein the attachment system permits the wearable medical device to be detached from, and re-attached to, one or both of the anchors while both of the anchors remain affixed to the person's skin
Tool for molding dysphonia treatment tool, and method for bending front piece of dysphonia treatment tool
The present invention provides a jig for forming a dysphonia treatment tool, the jig being capable of bending a front piece in a position not through a hole. A jig 20C for forming a dysphonia treatment tool X by deformation, the dysphonia treatment tool X including: a plurality of clamping sections each having a front piece 1a disposed on a front surface of incised thyroid cartilage and a rear piece disposed on a rear surface of the thyroid cartilage, the clamping sections configured to be fit to respective cut ends of the thyroid cartilage facing each other; and a bridging section linking the clamping sections to each other, the front piece having a hole 3 formed therein, the forming jig includes a clip section 22 having a pair of maintaining sections 21a, 21b configured to sandwich the front piece 1a from both surfaces to cover at least a portion of the hole 3.
