STENT/GRAFT ASSEMBLY
20170224469 · 2017-08-10 ·

A stent/graft assembly includes a tubular graft connected in substantially end-to-end relationship with a generally tubular stent. Free ends of the stent and graft extend in opposite directions from the end-to-end connection during a pre-deployment orientation of the assembly. However, the graft is inverted during deployment so that free ends of the graft and the stent extend in substantially the same direction from the end-to-end connection in a post-deployment orientation. Thus, at least a portion of the stent is disposed within at least a portion of the graft in a post-deployment orientation of the assembly.

Device for the delivery of a prosthetic implant and method of use thereof
11452587 · 2022-09-27 · ·

A surgical device for assisting in the placement of a prosthetic implant within a surgical pocket of a patient such that placement minimizes tissue stress along and inside the surgical pocket. The surgical device comprises a bag shaped as a conical frustum in which a proximal end of the conical frustum is sealed and a distal end of the conical frustum is open, with an elongated slit extending from the distal end towards the proximal end. An opening formed by the distal opening and the elongated slit is sufficiently large enough to accept the prosthetic implant into the bag. According to one embodiment, an adhesive is affixed along a portion of the elongated slit to seal the elongated slit such that the distal end remains open, thereby allowing for egress of the implant from the bag and placement into the surgical pocket.

DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR RESHAPING A HEART VALVE ANULUS, INCLUDING THE USE OF A BRIDGE IMPLANT HAVING AN ADJUSTABLE BRIDGE STOP

Implants or systems of implants and methods apply a selected force vector or a selected combination of force vectors within or across the left atrium, which allow mitral valve leaflets to better coapt. The implants or systems of implants and methods make possible rapid deployment, facile endovascular delivery, and full intra-atrial adjustability and retrievability years after implant. The implants or systems of implants and methods also make use of strong fluoroscopic landmarks. The implants or systems of implants and methods make use of an adjustable implant and a fixed length implant. The implants or systems of implants and methods may also utilise an adjustable bridge stop to secure the implant, and the methods of implantation employ various tools.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING PENILE MODELING

A device for remodeling a penis, comprising a generally cylindrical hollow assembly having a lumen extending between proximal and distal ends, the distal end being in communication with the lumen to facilitate insertion of the penis into the lumen, the generally cylindrical structure having an interior surface facing the lumen and an exterior surface facing away from the lumen, a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction, the transverse direction being orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, the generally cylindrical assembly adapted to snugly and resiliently grip the penis, and includes an elastic fabric with one or more regions reinforced with a plastically deformable member.

TELESCOPING STENTS

The invention described herein relates to telescoping stents. The embodiments described herein allow for adequate securement to, accommodation for movement by, and prevention of injury of tubular organs or hollow areas of the body. Certain embodiments relate to telescoping steins with loop interlocking mechanisms. Further embodiments relate to telescoping stents with ball-in-groove interlocking mechanisms.

TRANSCATHETER VALVE PROSTHESIS AND METHOD FOR IMPLANTING THE SAME

A transcatheter valve prosthesis and a method for implanting the prosthesis in a heart are disclosed. The prosthesis includes a tubular body a coupled to a prosthetic valve. A fabric may be disposed on an outer surface of the tubular body. The method includes partially deploying the tubular body from a catheter to at position distal of a distal edge of a native valve leaflet, and moving the catheter such that the deployed outflow end portion of the tubular body engages the distal edge of the native valve leaflet and lifts the native valve leaflet in the proximal direction towards an atrial chamber of the heart. Then, the tubular body can be fully deployed such that the native valve leaflet is captured between the outflow end portion and the inflow end portion.

MALE URINARY INCONTINENCE STRIP

Disclosed herein is a strip for reducing involuntary urine leakage associated with male urinary incontinence. The strip comprises a first pad and a second pad. The strip also comprises a bridge that is configured to couple the first pad to the second pad. The strip additionally comprises an adhesive coupled to the first pad and the second pad. The first pad, the second pad, and the bridge are made of a non-resiliently flexible material.

MEDICAL IMPLANTS FOR ENHANCING THE HEALING RESPONSE AND THE EFFECTIVE LONGEVITY OF BLOOD VESSELS AND ANASTOMOSES AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
20220126012 · 2022-04-28 ·

A method of establishing an anastomosis utilizing a harvested blood vessel includes connecting the blood vessel to an artery, thereby forming an anastomosis therebetween. The method further includes wrapping an outer surface of the blood vessel with a tubular support. The tubular support exerts a radially-inward force on the blood vessel.

Ductus side-entry and prosthetic disorder response systems

Described are means for the direct and continuous connection of a catheter to the lumen of any tubular anatomical structure, or ductus, without medically significant leakage. A port implanted at the body surface with piping to a periductal collar allows drug or radionuclide delivery that bypasses the upstream lumen. The port allows injection, infusion, aspiration, or attachment of an automatic ambulatory pump. A superparamagnetic nanoparticle carrier-bound drug, for example, can be introduced into the lumen to pass downstream until the particles, with or without the drug still bound, are drawn into the lumen wall by a magnetized jacket surrounding the ductus. Such constitutes a method of drug targeting whereby a segment of a vessel or the territory supplied by a branch of that segment can be circumscribed for exposure to the drug. A jacket with side-entry connector positioned in surrounding relation to a lesion requiring treatment can itself be magnetized.
