STENT GRAFT SYSTEMS WITH RESTRAINTS IN CHANNELS AND METHODS THEREOF
A stent graft system includes a first layer of graft material, a second layer of graft material, one or more stent members, one or more reducing belts, and a release wire. The one or more stent members are located between the first layer of graft material and the second layer of graft material. The second layer of graft material is formed to have a corresponding channel over each of the one or more stent members. The one or more reducing belts each include a loop at both ends and each is located in a corresponding channel around a corresponding one of the stent members. The release wire passes through both loops of each of the one or more reducing belts when the one or more stent members are in a compressed state. Pulling the release wire allows for the stent graft system to radially expand.
Prosthetic heart valve device
The present invention provides a prosthetic heart valve device that has a frame, and a leaflet assembly having a plurality of leaflets that are secured to the frame. The frame is defined by an annular body and has three spaced-apart commissure regions, each commissure region having a commissure post extending from a proximal outflow end of the frame. A first clipping arm and a second clipping arm extend from opposite sides of each commissure post, each clipping arm extending from each commissure post at an obtuse angle with respect to each commissure post. Each clipping arm has a free end with a tip provided at the free end. The body has a first diameter at a location where the tips of the clipping arms are located, and the tips of the clipping arms extend away from define a second diameter, with the second diameter being greater than or equal to the first diameter.
Stent graft system and a method for coupling stent grafts as a stent graft system
A stent graft system (1) with a first stent graft (2) expandable in respect of a diameter, and with at least a second stent graft (3). The first stent graft (2) at least in some areas has a tubular net structure (4) which, in an expanded mode, has a net structure (4) with substantially round annular meshes (5). The at least second stent graft (3) has, at a distal end (6), outwardly extending barbs (7) via which the at least second stent graft (3) can be coupled to the first stent graft (2) in the expanded mode. The distal end (6) of the at least second stent graft (3) passes through a round annular mesh (5) of corresponding diameter and, with its outwardly extending barbs (7), engages on the round annular mesh (5). Also, a method for coupling stent grafts as a stent graft system.
METHODS OF REPLACING PROSTHETIC HEART VALVES
A two-stage or component-based valve prosthesis that can be quickly and easily implanted during a surgical procedure is provided. The prosthetic valve comprises a support structure that is deployed at a treatment site. The prosthetic valve further comprises a valve member configured to be quickly connected to the support structure. The support structure may take the form of a stent that is expanded at the site of a native valve. If desired, the native leaflets may remain and the stent may be used to hold the native valve open. In this case, the stent may be balloon expandable and configured to resist the powerful recoil force of the native leaflets. The support structure is provided with a coupling means for attachment to the valve member, thereby fixing the position of the valve member in the body. The valve member may be a non-expandable type, or may be expandable from a compressed state to an expanded state. The system is particularly suited for rapid deployment of heart valves in a conventional open-heart surgical environment.
Manually adjustable device
Devices, systems and methods for altering functioning of a tissue/organ by application of force thereto. In one preferred embodiment, a device for reducing or preventing regurgitation of blood through a valve of a heart is provided. A device may include a main body having a segment adapted to apply force to a surface of tissue/organ; a member that applies counterforce to the force applied by the segment; and an adjuster that is manually operable to change the force applied by the segment. The adjuster can be manually operated before or after anchoring of the device to the tissue/organ.
Expandable Stent For A Transcatheter Prosthetic Heart Valve
A stent includes a body portion having a first configuration and a second configuration. The body portion in the first configuration lies substantially in a plane and may be curved about an axis substantially perpendicular to the plane. The planar body portion may be manipulated to the second configuration that is nonplanar.
Textured medical textiles
Described herein are implants (e.g., medical textiles/biotextiles) that include stitched gripping filaments to increase gripping, and methods of forming and using them. In some configurations these apparatuses may be configured as surgical grafts that may be used for soft tissue reconstruction, regeneration, or repair.
Surgical methods of replacing prosthetic heart valves
DEVICE AND METHOD OF PERFORMING CERCLAGE SACROCERVICOPEXY
An implantable cerclage sacrocolpopexy medical device includes an elongate strip of flat, flexible material extending longitudinally from a first end to an opposite second end; a surgical needle attached to the first end of the elongate strip; and a loop at either the first end or the second end of the elongate strip. The medical device is positioned circumferentially around the cervix. The end of the elongate strip opposite the end having the loop is passed through the loop and attached to the sacrum or sacrospinous ligament.
STENT GRAFT AND USE METHOD THEREFOR
A stent, comprising a frame and a skirt (40) that covers the frame, wherein the stent comprises an axial opening (22) that penetrates the frame and the skirt (40).
