AQUEOUS DISPERSION COMPRISING POLYURETHANE OR POLYURETHANE-UREA, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR AND USE THEREOF

Aqueous dispersion comprising polyurethane or polyurethane-urea, a preparation method therefor and a use thereof. The polyurethane or polyurethane-urea is prepared by reacting raw materials comprising the following components: a compound having a tertiary amine group and at least one NCO reactive functional group, a polyester polyol having a number average molecular weight of 400 to 5000 and a functionality of 2 to 3, an organic compound having at least two isocyanate groups, a hydrophilic compound having one or more of an ionic group, a potential ionic group and a non-ionic group and having 2 to 3 NCO reactive functional groups, and a mono-functional non-ionic hydrophilic compound having at least one NCO reactive functional group. The aqueous dispersion can be stably stored for a prolonged period of time, and an adhesive prepared from the aqueous dispersion has an improved hydrolysis resistance while maintaining good bonding strength and heat resistance.

GOLF BALL

An object of the present disclosure is to provide a novel golf ball having excellent spin performance on approach shots. The present disclosure provides a golf ball comprising a paint film, wherein a base resin constituting an outermost layer of the paint film is a polyurethane obtained by a reaction between (A) a polyol composition containing a polyol having a side chain and (B) a polyisocyanate composition, a loss modulus (E″) at a temperature of −50° C. is 2.0×10.sup.8 Pa or more, and a loss tangent (tan δ) has a peak with a peak height of 0.1 or more and 0.5 or less in a temperature range of −60° C. or more and −20° C. or less, wherein the loss modulus (E″) and the loss tangent (tan δ) are obtained by measuring a dynamic viscoelasticity of the polyurethane under specific conditions.

METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR POLYURETHANE DISPERSIONS USING CAPROLACTAM-DERIVED SOLVENTS

Caprolactam-derived solvents for use as processing solvents and/or coalescing agents for polyurethane dispersions (PUDs). The caprolactam-derived solvents are suitable for processing solvents and coalescing agents in PUDs created through traditional PUD manufacturing processes or as coalescing agents in PUDs created through solvent-free PUD manufacturing processes. Blends of more than one caprolactam-derived solvent may be used as the processing solvent and/or coalescing agent.

One component self-crosslinking coatings

A waterborne one-component coating composition capable of self-crosslinking and exhibiting a gloss and hardness improvement when cured that is similar to a solventborne two-component composition. The composition includes a urethane phase including a polyurethane polymer with at least polyester diol monomer units, polycarbonate diol monomer units, and ketone-functionalized diol monomer units. The composition may include an optional acrylic phase including an acrylic polymer having monomer units selected from one of alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer units, vinyl acetate monomer units, styrene monomer units, ketone-functional vinyl monomer units, or combinations thereof. The composition includes a hydrazine-functionalized crosslinking agent configured to crosslink one of the ketone-functionalized diol monomer units, the ketone-functional vinyl monomer units, or both. The composition further includes one or more tertiary amine reaction moderators or neutralizing agents.

POLYUREA COPOLYMER

The presently claimed invention is directed to a polyurea-polyetheramine copolymer obtained by reacting at least one polyisocyanate (A) and at least one isocyanate reactive component (B); wherein the at least one polyisocyanate (A) has an NCO functionality of at least ≥2.0; and the at least one isocyanate reactive component (B) is a polyetheramine having at least two secondary amine functional groups and at least one hydroxy functional group.

Methods for reducing aldehyde emissions in polyurethane foams

Polyurethane foams are made by curing a reaction mixture that contains an aromatic polyisocyanate, at least one isocyanate-reactive material having an average functionality of at least 2 and an equivalent weight of at least 200 per isocyanate-reactive group, at least one blowing agent, at least one surfactant and at least one catalyst, at least one cyclic 1,3-diketone compound, at least one aminoalcohol or alkylhydroxylamine and an alkali metal, phosphonium or ammonium sulfite. Foams so produced emit low levels of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein and propionaldehyde.
