FIRE-PROTECTION COMPOSITION AND USE OF THE SAME
A fire-protection composition is described that contains a polyurea-based binder. By virtue of the inventive composition, coatings having the layer thickness necessary for the respective fire-resistance duration can be applied simply and quickly, wherein the layer thickness can be reduced to a minimum and nevertheless a good fire-protection effect can be achieved. The inventive composition is suitable in particular for fire protection, especially as a coating of cables and cable runs, in order to increase the fire resistance duration.
AQUEOUS ADHESIVE DISPERSION CONTAINING POLYURETHANES AND ETHOXYLATED FATTY ALCOHOLS
Described are aqueous adhesive dispersions comprising dispersed polyurethanes and also ethoxylated fatty alcohols as emulsifiers. The polyurethanes are constructed from certain organic diisocyanates, dihydroxy compounds selected from certain polyester diols and polyether diols, and compounds having groups reactive toward isocyanate groups and having at least one ionic group. The adhesive dispersions can be used as laminating adhesives, for example for composite film lamination or for the lamination of rigid moldings with flexible decorative foils.
Silicone polyurea block copolymer coating compositions and methods
Silicone polyurea block copolymers are prepared by copolymerizing: (a) a diamine composition that includes a polyethylene glycol diamine, and optionally, a dipiperidyl alkane; (b) a monofunctional silicone isocyanate; and (c) a diisocyanate. Compositions useful as passivating coatings comprising the block copolymer are also provided, and substrates coated with the compositions. Methods of preparing and using the compositions are also described.
Work time to walk-on time ratio by adding a phenolic catalyst to polyaspartic flooring formulations
The present invention provides a polyaspartic composition comprising a reaction product of a polyamine and a Michael addition receptor reacted in the presence of a catalyst comprising a phenolic compound, with the proviso that the phenolic compound is not a phenol which is substituted with tert-butyl groups in both ortho positions to the oxygen. Suitable phenolic compounds include phenols, phenolic aldehydes, alkylphenols, benzenediols, cashew nut oil, and combinations thereof. Coatings, adhesives, sealants, composites, castings, and films comprising a polyurea composition may be made by reacting a polyisocyanate with the inventive polyaspartic composition. In particular, floor coatings made with the inventive polyaspartic composition have an elongated work time and a short walk-on time compared to current floor coatings.
Aqueous Resin Based Inkjet Ink
An aqueous inkjet ink comprises a compound functionalized with at least two functional groups selected from the group consisting of a primary amine and a secondary amine, a colorant and a polymeric particle comprising an oligomer or polymer having at least 3 repeating units comprising a functional group according to general formula I, II or III general formula I general formula II general formula III
