Polycarbamide resins for metal coating applications
Polycarbamide coating compositions and secondary diamine curing agents used to produce the coating compositions are disclosed. Curing agent compositions comprising: (a) the reaction product of bis(4-aminocyclohexyl) methane and ethyl ester of 2-butendioc acid; and (b) the reaction product of bis(4-amino-3-methylcyclohexyl)methane and ethyl ester of 2-butendioic acid; and (c) at least one polyol are also disclosed. One aspect of the disclosure relates to a non-aqueous coating composition comprising the disclosed amine curing agents with a polyisocyanate resin. The coating compositions are suitable for use as direct to metal coatings or top coats. Methods of producing the curing agents and the coating compositions are also disclosed.
GOLF BALL
A golf ball wherein a slide amount Ds is 1.05 mm or less and a post-slide contact time Tc is 600 μs or more in the case where a golf ball 140 is dropped freely from a height position of 3 m above and away from a collision surface 130a inclined 58 degrees with respect to a horizontal direction to collide with the collision surface, the slide amount Ds being a vertical displacement of the golf ball from when the golf ball starts sliding on the collision surface to when the golf ball stops sliding on the collision surface, and the post-slide contact time Tc being a period from when the golf ball stops sliding on the collision surface to when the golf ball leaves the collision surface.
GOLF BALL
A golf ball composed of a core and a cover has a spin rate and a launch angle on approach shots at a head speed (HS) of 20 m/s or 10 m/s that satisfy formulas (1) and (2) below:
Spin W/Spin D≥0.70 (1)
Ang W/Ang D<1.20 (2)
Here, Spin D is the spin rate (rpm) under dry conditions, Spin W is the spin rate (rpm) under wet conditions, Ang W is the launch angle (°) under wet conditions and Ang D is the launch angle (°) under dry conditions. The golf ball suppresses a decrease in the spin rate on approach shots in rainy weather and thus has an improved controllability, making it especially useful to professional golfers and skilled amateurs who desire a high spin performance around the green.
Resin composition, molded body, laminate, gas barrier material, coating material, and adhesive
A resin composition contains a polyester polyol and a smectite with partially immobilized lithium.
SULPHUR-CONTAINING POLYESTER POLYOLS, THEIR PRODUCTION AND USE
The present invention relates to sulfur-containing polyester polyols and to the preparation and use thereof.
COATING COMPOSITION HAVING HIGH SOLID CONTENT AND METHOD FOR FORMING MULTILAYER COATING FILM
A high-solid-content coating composition includes: (A) a hydroxy group-containing acrylic resin having a glass transition temperature (Tg) in a range of 20 C. to 70 C. and a weight average molecular weight in a range of 3,000 to 10,000; (B) a hydroxy group-containing polyester resin being a reaction product of a polyfunctional compound (b-1) having a carboxy group and a hydroxy group in total of three or more in one molecule, a monoepoxide compound (b-2) having a hydrocarbon group having 4 or more carbon atoms, and a caprolactone compound (b-3); and (C) a polyisocyanate compound, in which a solid content at the time of coating is 50 mass % or more.
COATING COMPOSITION FOR METAL SUBSTRATES
The present invention provides novel packaging coating compositions, e.g., food and beverage cans. Preferred cans typically comprise a body portion and an end portion, wherein at least one of the body and end portions are aluminum and are coated on at least one major surface with a coating composition of the present invention. Suitable coating compositions of the present invention comprise: one or more polyester resins, wherein at least one of the polyester resins has a glass transition temperature (Tg) less than about 50 C., and wherein the polyester resin is formed by the reaction of one or more polyacid molecules and one or more polyol molecules; and a crosslinker. Preferred compositions are substantially free of mobile BPA and aromatic glycidyl ether compounds, e.g., BADGE, BFDGE and epoxy novalacs (e.g., NOGE) and more preferred compositions are also substantially free of bound BPA and aromatic glycidyl ether compounds. In more preferred embodiments (e.g., alcoholic beverage cans), the polyol molecules used to make the polyester resin are substantially free of NPG. The present invention also provides a method of making such cans.
