Two-part curable urethane composition
A two-part curable urethane composition comprising a main agent (A) and a curing agent (B), wherein the main agent (A) contains a urethane prepolymer (a), an isocyanurate-modified polyisocyanate compound (b), and a silane coupling agent (c) at a specified ratio by mass; and the curing agent (B) contains a polyether polyol (d), a polyether polyol having 4 or more hydroxy groups (e), and an amine catalyst (f) at a specified ratio by mass.
FLEXIBLE FOOD PACKAGING LAMINATES
Described herein are adhesive compositions, and in particular to solventless adhesive compositions, which can be used to construct laminates, such as flexible laminate materials used to construct flexible packaging (among other things). In another aspect, the solventless adhesive materials are essentially monomer and/or catalyst free, making them well suited for use in making laminates for packaged foods, beverages, and other sensitive materials, e.g., materials which should not be contaminated or not contaminated to unacceptable levels. Also described are laminates made with the adhesive compositions. Laminates made with the adhesive compositions exhibit sufficient bond strength to be slit after 4-8 hours after formation and even 4-5 hours after formation.
POLYURETHANE INSULATION FOAM COMPOSITION COMPRISING A STABILIZING COMPOUND
A polyurethane insulation foam composition is disclosed herein. The polyurethane insulation foam comprises: (i) an aromatic isocyanate compound; (ii) an isocyanate reactive compound; (iii) water; (iv) a tertiary amine compound; (v) a hydrophilic carboxylic acid compound; (vi) a halogenated olefin compound; (vii) a stabilizing compound, and (vii) optionally, other additives.
Polyol blends and their use in producing PUR-PIR foam-forming compositions
Polyol blends are disclosed that include a saccharide-initiated polyether polyol, an aromatic polyester polyol, and a polyalkylene polyamine-initiated polyether polyol. Also disclosed are foam-forming compositions containing such polyol blends, rigid foams made using such polyurethane foam-forming compositions, and methods for producing such foams, including use of such foams as panel insulation.
Rigid Polyurethane Foam and Multilayer Thermal Insulation Assemblies Containing the Foam
Rigid polyurethane foams are made using a mixture of polyols that includes 4 to 33% by weight of triisopropanolamine. The mixture of polyols is reacted with an aromatic polyisocyanate in the presence of a blowing agent, a foam-stabilizing surfactant and a urethane catalyst to produce the foam. The foams are useful as thermal insulation layers in multilayer thermal insulation assemblies such as appliance cabinets and walls for industrial and commercial freezers and refrigerators.
FILLED POLYURETHANE OR POLYISOCYANURATE FOAM AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
Polyurethane or polyisocyanate form stock and methods of manufacturing are described herein. The foam stock can include (a) a polyurethane or polyisocyanate formed by the reaction of (i) one or more isocyanates selected from the group consisting of diisocyanates, polyisocyanates, and mixtures thereof, and (ii) one or more polyols; and (b) a filler present in an amount from greater than 50% to 90% by weight, based on the total weight of the foam stock. The density of the foam stock can be from 10 lb/ft.sup.3 to 35 lb/ ft.sup.3. The flexural strength of the foam stock can be at least 100 psi. The resulting foam stock can be used to produce polyurethane or polyisocyanate foam to be used in composite panels.
Flexible foaming process for producing thermally insulated articles
A flexible discontinuous process produces a series of at least two articles containing thermally insulating polyurethane foam from at least three streams (A), (B) and (C). The process involves mixing the at least three streams with different mixing ratios and injecting the mixture into cavities of the articles. A production unit can be used for performing this process.
Formulations for high porosity chemical mechanical polishing pads with high hardness and CMP pads made therewith
The present invention provides CMP polishing pads or layers having a unfilled Shore D (2 second) hardness of from 57-77 or a filled Shore D (2 second) hardness of from 18-50, made from a two-component reaction mixture of (i) a liquid aromatic isocyanate component comprising one or more aromatic diisocyanates or a linear aromatic isocyanate-terminated urethane prepolymer having an unreacted isocyanate (NCO) concentration of from 18 to 47 wt. %, based on the total solids weight of the aromatic isocyanate component, and (ii) a liquid polyol component including one or more curatives selected from the group of amines defined by Formulas (I) and (II).
