The composition comprises the reaction product of an aromatic sulfonyl isocyanate and an alcohol or polyol monomer. Also disclosed is a method of improving the corrosion resistance of metals coated with 2K coatings by the addition of a sulfonyl urethane-alcohol composition reaction product of an aromatic sulfonyl isocyanate and a mono-alcohol or poly-alcohol.
THERMOSETTING COATING COMPOSITION FOR IMPROVED CORROSION PROTECTION OF METAL SUBSTRATES
Disclosed is a composition for improving the corrosion resistance of metals coated with 2K coatings. The composition comprises a polyol resin having a sulfonyl isocyanate grafted onto the resin. The polyol resins are polyester polyols and acrylic polyols. The grafted resins significantly improve metal corrosion resistance on smooth metal substrates when the grafted resins are incorporated into 2K coating systems.
Pressure sensitive adhesive composition
The present invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, an optical member, a polarizing plate, and a display device. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition according to an embodiment of the present invention may form a pressure-sensitive adhesive which has excellent general physical properties such as coating properties, endurance reliability, or the like, and which may stably maintain the physical properties for the long term. Further, the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition may be particularly applied to various optical films, thereby forming the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer which exhibits excellent adhesion with the optical film, and when the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is applied to the polarizing plate, bending properties may be effectively prevented.
Polyisocyanate mixture based on 1,5-diisocyanatopentane
The invention relates to a polyisocyanate mixture containing at least one polyisocyanate based on 1,5-diisocyanatopentane and at least one organic solvent, said organic solvent being inert with respect to isocyanate groups and the polyisocyanate mixture has a solid body content of 35 and 65 wt. %. The invention also relates to a two-component system, to a method for producing a coating, to the thus obtained coatings and to a composite consisting of the coating and a substrate.
CURING FOR POLYALLOPHANATE COMPOSITIONS THROUGH UNDERCOAT ACID NEUTRALIZATION
The present invention provides a system comprising an allophanate composition comprising a neutralized polyol, a polyuretdione resin, a tertiary amine catalyst, an additive package, and a reducer and a neutralized basecoat comprising an acid scavenger and a pigment. The resulting allophanate system may be used to make coatings, adhesives, castings, composites, and sealants in which clear-coating on neutralized pigmented basecoats is much improved in comparison to non-neutralized basecoats.
