ANNULOPLASTY DEVICE
20230120494 · 2023-04-20 · ·

Annuloplasty device for use on a posterior annulus of a mitral valve, which is deployable to the mitral valve by means of a vascular delivery device, such as a catheter, and positionable along the curvature of the annulus, including at least a first and a second branch, each configured to extend along at least a section of the annulus, with a first end and a second end, at least one guiding means for guiding the first and the second branches relative to one another, at least one fixing means for fixing the device to the annulus, and at least one anchor means arranged on each of the first and second branches, whereby the first and the second branches are movable relatively to one another, so that the anchor means engage with the annulus thereby pulling the annulus together when the first and second branches are moved in opposite directions.

LENGTH-ADJUSTABLE OSSICLE PROSTHESIS
20230122887 · 2023-04-20 ·

A length-adjustable ossicular prosthesis, includes a cylindrical pin serving as a connecting element, which connects a foot element to a head element. The head element is intended to be disposed on an inside of an eardrum, and the foot element is intended to be attached to an anvil in a human ear. The head element is designed as an elliptical ring having an opening, which can be closed by closing a locking mechanism comprising a hook. Two guiding and clamping elements project inwardly from the ring, between which, in an open position, the connecting element is displaceably guided, and which secure the head element non-displaceably and non-rotatably on the connecting element when the ring is closed, and as a result the guiding and clamping elements are tensioned against the connecting element.

Variable sling for urinary continence

An apparatus for treating urinary incontinence in a patient includes at least one adjustable lifting device for supporting a patient's urethra to restore urinary control. The adjustable lifting device can post-operatively and non-invasively adjust the level of lift of a patient's urethra, to thereby affect the patient's incontinence. The adjustable lifting device is placed above the pubis bone of the patient. The device includes first and second fixation devices that are adjustable to thereby adjust the length of a sling that cradles and lift's the patient's urethra. The apparatus could also be used to treat anal incontinence.

Embodiments of the present disclosure include a cardiac device comprising a band configured for deployment within a heart. The band may include a first end and a second end, an actuatable clasp associated with the first end of the band and configured to transition, upon actuation, from an open configuration to a closed configuration for forming the band into a fixed length loop after the second end is moved beyond the clasp. The clasp may be configured for actuation via a catheter. The cardiac device may include a clasp retainer associated with the clasp, the clasp retainer being configured to hold the clasp in the open configuration and the clasp being configured to be actuated upon movement of the clasp retainer, and a clasp actuator configured to move the clasp retainer thereby actuating the clasp.

Tissue anchors, systems and methods, and devices

Systems, devices and methods for securing tissue including the annulus of a mitral valve. The systems, devices and methods may employ catheter based techniques and devices to plicate tissue and perform an annuloplasty.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR OCULAR INJECTION

An apparatus includes a housing coupled to a medicament container, which is coupled to a needle. An injection assembly is disposed within the housing and includes an energy storage member and an actuation rod. A distal end portion of the actuation rod is disposed within the medicament container. The energy storage member can produce a force on a proximal end portion of the actuation rod sufficient to move the distal end portion of the actuation rod within the medicament container. This can convey at least a portion of a substance from the medicament container via the needle when a distal tip of the needle is disposed within a first region of a target location. The force is insufficient to move the distal end portion of the actuation rod within the medicament container when the distal tip of the needle is disposed within a second region of the target location.

A method of repairing a defective heart valve involves positioning first and second support rings of an annuloplasty device in a first configuration on opposite sides of native heart valve leaflets and activating a contracted state of the annuloplasty device so that a first pitch distance between the first and second support rings in the first configuration is reduced to a second pitch distance that is shorter than the first pitch distance to move the first and second support rings toward each other to pinch the native heart valve leaflets.

Method of surgically providing a trans-male patient with a neopenis including malleable penile inserts inside an artificial tunica

A method of surgically providing a trans-male patient with a neopenis includes inserting an implantable penile prosthesis into an inverted vagina, where the implantable penile prosthesis includes a pair of malleable penile inserts inside an artificial tunica.

ADJUSTABLE LENGTH STENT

A stent configured to change in length while maintaining a constant inner diameter is disclosed. The stent includes an elongated tubular member comprising at least one knitted filament forming a plurality of twisted knit stitches with rungs extending circumferentially between adjacent twisted knit stitches, wherein each twisted knit stitch is interconnected with a longitudinally adjacent twisted knit stitch forming a series of linked stitches. The tubular member is configured to be stretched from a first length to a second length while in a radially expanded configuration without substantially changing the inner and/or outer diameter of the tubular member.

Intestinal lengthening device

An implantable distraction device includes a tubular member oriented along a longitudinal axis, and curved first and second attachment members coupled to the tubular member and configured to be sutured within a body lumen. The second attachment member is spaced apart from the first attachment member along the tubular member. The device further includes at least one magnet coupled to the tubular member and movable relative to the tubular member. At least one of the first attachment member or the second attachment member is axially movable relative to the other to vary an axial distance between the first and second attachment members. The at least one magnet is configured such that motion of a magnetic field relative to the distraction device causes corresponding motion of the at least one magnet, and corresponding motion of one attachment member relative to the other.
