METHOD FOR OBTAINING A REAGENT TO REDUCE THE HYDRODYNAMIC RESISTANCE OF A TURBULENT FLOW OF LIQUID HYDROCARBONS IN PIPELINES
The invention relates to inorganic and polymeric reagents and namely to pipeline transfer of petroleum and petroleum products. The method of production of a reagent for reduction of hydrodynamic resistance of liquid hydrocarbon flow in pipelines includes polymerization of C6-C14 alpha-olefins over catalyst and catalyst activator. Polymerization of C6-C14 alpha-olefins is conducted in the monomer medium with addition from 0.1 to 5 w/w of a saturated alicyclic hydrocarbon of C8-C32 composition and a saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon of C6-C18 composition subject to conversion of monomers from 96.0 to 99.5 w/w, using microspheric titanium trichloride as a catalyst, and a mixture of diethylaluminum chloride and triisobutylaluminum with weight ratio from 1:10 to 10:1 as a catalyst activator. Then a polymer with molecular weight more than 10.sup.7 atomic mass unit with narrow molecular weight distribution not more than 1.5 with the set ratio of components is produced. Then the polymer is being ground.
Wax modifier in hydrocarbon fluid and method of using the same
Compositions may include a wax modifier that is the product of a reaction between a polysaccharide having a number of sugar subunits in the range of 2 to 60 and one or more fatty acid reagents, and a reservoir fluid produced from a subterranean formation comprising one or more components capable of producing waxes. Methods may include contacting a hydrocarbon fluid with a wax modifier, wherein the wax modifier is the product of the reaction of a polysaccharide and one or more fatty acid reagents. Methods may also include introducing a wax modifier into a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation, wherein the wax modifier is the product of a reaction between a polysaccharide and one or more fatty acid reagents; producing hydrocarbons from the subterranean formation; and allowing the wax modifier to inhibit the precipitation of a wax.

Cold flow improver with broad applicability in mineral diesel, biodiesel and blends thereof
The present application relates to compositions comprising at least one polyalkyl(meth)acrylate polymer, a graft copolymer comprising a copolymer based on ethylene as graft base and one or more polyalkyl(meth)acrylate polymer(s) grafted thereon, and at least one non-grafted ethylene-based copolymer, as well as to the use of such compositions to improve the performance, especially the cold flow properties and injector nozzle coking tendency of middle distillates, especially diesel fuels, biodiesel and blends thereof.
Polyolefin-derived dispersants
Ethylene-C.sub.3-C.sub.10 alpha olefin copolymers, dispersants and lubricating oils/fuel compositions incorporating dispersants, and related methods are generally described herein. The copolymer may comprise ethylene-derived units and C.sub.3-C.sub.10 alpha-olefin-derived units. The C.sub.3-C.sub.10 alpha-olefin-derived units may have a carbon number from three to ten. For example, the C.sub.3-C.sub.10 alpha-olefin-derived units may be propylene-derived units.
