Natural fuel additive and premium fuel comprising the same
An additive composition for liquid fuels is provided. The additive composition comprises water, one or more mineral salts, a polyol compound, an alcohol and a surfactant. The additive composition can be added to liquid fuels such as gasoline, diesel, kerosene and mazut to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. The composition can be prepared from all natural materials.
PROTECTION OF LIQUID FUELS
A liquid concentrate comprising essentially: (A) 0.1 to 10 wt. % of one or more amphoteric emulsifying agents; (B) 30 to 95 wt. % of one or more nonionic alkoxylated surfactants; (C) 0 to 20 wt. % of one or more glycol-based solubilizers; and (D) 0 to 65 wt. % of one or more organic solvents;
wherein component (B) comprises a mixture of C.sub.6-C.sub.15-alkanol ethoxylates with different carbon numbers for the alkanol unit species, the carbon numbers for the two C.sub.6-C.sub.15-alkanol ethoxylates which have the highest share in weight in the mixture being at least 1.5 carbon numbers distant from each other, is useful for reducing or eliminating the formation in a liquid hydrocarbon fuel of ice particles having a weight average particle size greater than 1 m when said liquid hydrocarbon fuel is cooled to temperatures in the range of from 0 to 50 C.
AQUEOUS DISPERSIONS OF PARAFFIN INHIBITORS
Aqueous dispersion of paraffine inhibitors, comprising a continuous aqueous phase comprising water and a water-miscible organic solvent, a dispersed phase comprising at least one paraffin inhibitor component, and at least one anionic surfactant, methods of manufacturing such aqueous dispersions, and the use of such aqueous dispersions as paraffin inhibitor or pour point depressant for crude oil or other hydrocarbon fluids, such as fuel oils or diesel.
Biodiesel glycerol emulsion fuel mixtures
The invention provides fuel mixtures containing biodiesel oil, glycerol, glycerol soluble compounds, surfactants and additives. The fuel mixtures are uniform, remain suspended in solution, and are resistant to phase separation. Upon combustion, the mixtures generate reduced CO, CO.sub.2, SOx, NOx and particulate matter emissions compared to petroleum fuels and offer improved engine performance over petroleum and water mixtures.
Ion tolerant corrosion inhibitors and inhibitor combinations for fuels
This invention relates to compositions and methods for inhibiting corrosion and deposit formation in fuel handling equipment, with reduced or eliminated incidence of fuel filter plugging and internal diesel injector deposits (IDID) in the equipment that eventually employs the final commercially blended form of the fuel. More specifically, the invention relates to inhibiting corrosion from the walls of fuel pipelines and storage equipment and preventing deposits in engines.
FUEL ADDITIVE COMPOSITION AND RELATED METHODS
The invention relates to a fuel additive composition and a method of enhancing the properties of fuel. The composition includes a hydrophilic absorbent, a lubricant, an octane adjuster, an trialkyl benzene, a dispersant, a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, a fatty acid methyl ester, petroleum distillates, a mineral oil, and an elastomeric polymer. The method involves adding the fuel additive composition to the fuel, where each component performs a specific function to improve the fuel's properties.
