Paraffin inhibitor composition for use at low temperatures
A paraffin inhibitor composition that exhibits stable properties at low temperature is provided. The composition may contain, for instance, an alkylphenol copolymer having the following repeating units (A) and (B): ##STR00001##
wherein, x is an integer from 1 to 200; y is an integer from 2 to 200; R.sub.1 is a straight or branched C.sub.1-C.sub.15 alkyl; and R.sub.2 is a straight or branched C.sub.16-C.sub.40 alkyl.
Asphaltene dispersant composition
An asphaltene dispersant composition is provided. The composition may contain an alkylphenol copolymer having the following repeating units (A) and (B): ##STR00001##
wherein, x is an integer from 1 to 200; y is an integer from 2 to 200; R.sub.1 is a straight or branched C.sub.1-C.sub.15 alkyl; and R.sub.2 is a straight or branched C.sub.2-C.sub.40 alkyl, wherein R.sub.2 is different than R.sub.1.
Alkylphenol copolymer
An alkylphenol copolymer, such as for use in a petroleum composition, is provided. The alkylphenol copolymer has the following repeating units (A) and (B): ##STR00001##

DEMULSIFIER FOR QUATERNARY AMMONIUM SALT CONTAINING FUELS
Described herein are fuel performance additives, fuels including such additive, methods of improving the demulsibility of fuels using fuel performance additives, and the use of a fuel performance additive to improve the demulsibility of fuel where such fuels are gasoline or diesel and further include a quaternary ammonium salt obtained from at least the reaction of a nitrogen containing compound having at least a tertiary amino group and a quaternizing agent.

Product compositions for dimethoxymethane oligomers mixed with distillate fuels
A composition comprising a distillate fuel, an oligomer portion comprising at least one dimethoxymethane oligomer, and a stabilizer comprising one or more alcohols. A composition comprising a distillate fuel, and an oligomer portion comprising at least one dimethoxymethane oligomer, DMMn, wherein n is less than 3 and/or greater than 4. A composition comprising a distillate fuel, and less than 10 volume percent of an oligomer portion, wherein the oligomer portion comprises at least one dimethoxymethane oligomer. A method comprising separating, from a mixture of DMMn oligomers, one or more DMMn fractions comprising oligomers of a desired chain length n, and combining a desired amount of one or more of the separated DMMn fractions with a distillate fuel to provide a fuel composition. A composition comprising a distillate fuel that includes renewable distillate fuel, DMMn and/or alcohol.
Dispersions Of Polymeric Oil Additives
The invention provides dispersions comprising I) at least one oil-soluble polymer effective as a cold flow improver for mineral oils, II) at least one organic, water-immiscible solvent, III) a dispersant comprising, based on the total amount of dispersant, a) 10-90% by weight of a salt of an ethercarboxylic acid and b) 90-10% by weight of a nonionic surfactant, IV) water and V) at least one organic, water-miscible solvent.
Paraffin suppressant compositions and methods
Disclosed herein are paraffin suppressant compositions, and methods of making and using them. The compositions comprise a paraffin inhibitor, a hydrocarbon-soluble hydrotrope equivalent, and optionally one or more additional paraffin dispersants. When added to hydrocarbon media such as crude oils to form crude oil compositions, the suppressant compositions inhibit the precipitation of paraffin waxes in the crude oil compositions. The suppressant compositions, added to hydrocarbon media such as hydrocarbon solvents or crude oils, exhibit reduced precipitation, gelling, and/or crystallization of paraffin inhibitor from the hydrocarbon media, when the media are subjected to sustained temperatures between 4 C. and 60 C.
Water based product for treating vanadium rich oils
Provided are water-based fuel additive compositions that, when combusted with a fuel containing vanadium in a gas turbine, inhibit vanadium hot corrosion in the gas turbine. The water-based fuel additive compositions include at least one rare earth element compound or alkaline earth element compound that retards vanadium corrosion resulting from combustion of vanadium rich fuel.
Oil based product for treating vanadium rich oils
Provided are oil-based fuel additive compositions that, when combusted with a fuel containing vanadium in a gas turbine, inhibit vanadium hot corrosion in the gas turbine. The oil-based fuel additive compositions include at least one rare earth element compound or alkaline earth element compound that retards vanadium corrosion resulting from combustion of vanadium rich fuel.
