Methods of protecting a plant from a fungal pest
A method of controlling or preventing pathogenic damage and/or pest damage in a plant propagation material, a plant, part of a plant and/or plant organ, comprising applying on the plant, part of the plant, plant organ, plant propagation material or a surrounding area thereof a phytoprotective agent comprising an enzyme and a fungicide.
NUCLEIC ACID MOLECULES
The present disclosure relates to a nucleic acid molecule comprising 5-UTR and/or 3-UTR sequences that yield high translation levels. Aspects of the disclosure further relate to nucleic acid molecules suitable for use as a vaccine in the treatment and prevention of infectious diseases, including those caused by a coronavirus, compositions comprising said nucleic acid molecules and methods of treating or preventing infectious diseases.
METHODS FOR ENHANCING DISEASE RESISTANCE AND INCREASING BIOMASS YIELD AND SECONDARY METABOLITE QUANTITIES IN CANNABIS SATIVA UTILIZING PLANT DEFENSE-RESPONSE ELICITORS
The present invention discloses methods for improving desired qualities in Cannabis sativa L. Methods include the step of: applying a composition having at least one biostimulant, as an elicitor, to Cannabis sativa L., wherein the at least one biostimulant is at least one material selected from the group consisting of: an exogenous polysaccharide, a peptidoglycan, a peptide, a lipopolysaccharide, a modified lipid, and an enzyme, wherein the at least one biostimulant is derived from at least one source material selected from the group consisting of: plants, bacteria, archaebacteria, fungi, animals, protozoa, algae, and viruses, and wherein the at least one biostimulant is known to be sensed by plant surface-receptors to elicit a plant defense-response. Alternatively, the at least one biostimulant is at least one material selected from the group consisting of: a Pathogen-Associated Molecular Pattern (PAMP), a Microbial-Associated Molecular Pattern (MAMP), and an Herbivore-Associated Molecular Patterns (HAMP).
ACHOLETIN BIOPOLYMERS AND METHODS FOR ENZYMATIC SYNTHESIS
Provided herein are ?-1,3-linked biopolymers (acholetin polysaccharides). Furthermore, provided herein are enzymatic methods and systems for producing ?-1,3-linked oligosaccharides and polysaccharides using ?-1,3-N-acetylglucosaminide phosphorylase (Acholetin phosphorylase (AchP)). The AchP was sourced from the genome of the cell wall-less Mollicute bacterium, Acholeplasma laidlawii and was found to synthesize ?-1,3-linked N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) or N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) oligomers using the donor. ?-N-acetylglucosamine 1-phosphate (GlcNAc1-P) or N-acetylgalactosamine 1-phosphate (GalNAc1-P).
CHITINOLYTIC ENZYME-BASED PLANT PROTECTION AGENTS
The present invention relates to chitinolytic enzymes, and in particular for a use thereof in plant protection. The invention also relates to a nucleic acid encoding a chitinolytic enzyme a method for producing a chitinolytic enzyme, a plant comprising a chitinolytic enzyme or a nucleic acid encoding the same, a composition of at least one chitinolytic enzyme. The invention relates in particular to the use of a chitinolytic enzyme or a composition comprising the same as a plant protection agent and to a method of protecting plants from pests.
PESTICIDAL ENZYMES FOR USE ON NEMATODES, INSECTS, AND MOLLUSKS
Isolated enzymes exhibiting insecticidal, nematicidal, or pesticidal activity, and recombinant microorganisms expressing said enzymes are provided as well as methods of using the same to protect a plant from a pathogen or pest, improve plant health, or improve plant growth are provided.
Method for the Diagnosis of Gaucher's Disease
The present invention is related to an in vitro method for diagnosing Gaucher's disease in a subject comprising a step of a) detecting a biomarker in a sample from the subject, wherein the biomarker is free lyso-Gb1.
Insecticidal chitinase protein its encoding nucleotide and application thereof
A novel insecticidal chitinase protein from fern Tectaria sp., a process for preparation of the insecticidal protein and nucleic acid sequence encoding for said insecticidal protein and its application for insect control purposes.
METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR SITE-SPECIFIC LABELING OF PEPTIDES AND PROTEINS
Methods and compositions are provided for covalently linking a chemical species to a recombinant or synthetic polypeptide. The methods involve the reaction of a thioester-comprising polypeptide with a reagent comprising a reactive amino-thiol group connected to the chemical species which is to be covalently linked to the polypeptide, via a linker. Such chemical species can be a functional group, a label or tag molecule, a biological molecule, a ligand, or a solid support. Efficient and catalyst-free methods for C-terminal protein labeling are also provided. The methods expand current capabilities in the area of protein functionalization, providing useful and complementary tools for the isolation, detection, characterization, and analysis of proteins in a variety of in vitro and in vivo applications.
