The base polyol of these polymer polyols comprises one or more amine initiated polyols. The present invention also relates to processes for preparing these polymer polyols, to foams prepared from these polymer polyols, and to processes for producing foams from these polymer polyols.
MONOMER RECOVERY PROCESS
A process for recovering monomers and solvent present in a waste stream including the steps of: (a) providing a waste feed stream containing monomers, solvent and impurities; (b) subjecting the waste feed stream of step (a) to a separation process under conditions for separating the monomers and solvent from the impurities of the waste stream; (c) recovering the monomers and solvent in one or more streams; and (d) passing the one or more of the monomer and solvent streams from step (c) to further processing.
PROCESS FOR PREPARING A COPOLYMER POLYOL
A process for preparing a copolymer polyol containing a reduced content of residual monomers and volatiles including the steps of: (a) providing at least one copolymer polyol containing a first initial content of residual monomers and volatiles; (b) providing at least one molecular sieve adsorbent; (c) contacting the at least one copolymer polyol with the at least one molecular sieve adsorbent for a period of time and at a temperature sufficient for the at least one molecular sieve adsorbent to adsorb at least a portion of the first initial content of residual monomers and volatiles present in the at least one copolymer polyol to reduce the first initial content of residual monomers and volatiles of the at least one copolymer polyol to form at least one copolymer polyol containing a second reduced content of residual monomers and volatiles; and (d) separating the at least one molecular sieve adsorbent containing a portion of the first initial content residual monomers and volatiles from the at least one copolymer polyol to form at least one copolymer polyol containing a second reduced content of residual monomers and volatiles.
FLEXIBLE POLYURETHANE FOAMS HAVING IMPROVED LONG-TERM PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS
The present invention relates to polyol mixtures comprising (b1) at least one polyether polyol having a hydroxyl value of 10 to 60 mg KOH/g and having a high proportion of ethylene oxide, (b2) at least one polyether polyol having a hydroxyl value of 10 to 100 mg KOH/g, a low proportion of ethylene oxide, and not less than 40% primary OH groups, and (b3) at least one polyether polyol having a hydroxyl value of 10 to 100 mg KOH/g, a low proportion of ethylene oxide, and not more than 30% primary OH groups, and b5) from 0.25 to 10 further parts by weight of polyurea, based on 100 parts by weight of components b1) to b3), optionally present as a constituent of a dispersion polyol based on one or more of components b1) to b3).
The invention further relates to a process for producing flexible polyurethane foams using the mixtures according to the invention, to the thereby obtainable flexible polyurethane foams, and to the use of the thereby obtainable flexible polyurethane foams as a cushioning element for furniture or as a seat element.
HEAT CONSERVATION-INSULATING MATERIAL COATED WITH UV CURING-TYPE FILM AND HAVING MAXIMIZED HEAT EFFICIENCY, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
The present invention relates to a heat conservation-insulating material which is coated with a UV film and has maximized heat efficiency, wherein: the material uses a thermosetting water-soluble acrylic adhesive to ensure the minimum uniform coating film thickness required for corrosion prevention of a pipe and strength reinforcement during curing and allow easy installation with flexibility and sufficient working time before the installation; and a surface of the insulating material is UV-coated and thermosetting-coated by dual-cure curing method so that even a part where light or ultraviolet rays cannot penetrate can be cured, a heat conservation-insulating material having vivid colors can be obtained even when dye and pigment are added to realize various colors, and the cutting processability is excellent to enable a uniform coating on various surfaces, such as metal, plastic, glass, ceramics, stone, wood, and various building materials, or even on sharply bent shapes.
Flame-resistant polymer polyol dispersion
The invention relates to a process for preparing a flame-resistant polymer-modified polyol having a solids content of 1 to 65 wt. % wherein (i) at least one polyisocyanate and (ii) an olamine are reacted in (iii) a base polyol having at least two active hydrogen containing groups of which more than 50% are primary active hydrogen containing groups and wherein the olamine has at least one phosphonic ester group attached to a tertiary nitrogen atom and contains at least two hydroxyl groups. The invention further relates to a flame-resistant polymer-modified polyol obtainable with the process of the invention, to a process for preparing optionally foamed plastics using the polymer-modified polyol of the invention, and to the use of a polymer-modified polyol for the preparation of flexible polyurethane foams.
Polyol compositions
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards polyol compositions including a dispersion of polyisocyanate polyaddition particles in a carrier polyol, wherein the polyisocyanate polyaddition particles have an average particle diameter from 0.1 to 10.0 microns and the dispersion has a solids content from 5 wt % to 50 wt % based upon a total weight of the dispersion, and a polyester polyol that is from 1 wt % to 98 wt % of the polyol composition based upon a total weight of the polyol composition.
