Foams so produced emit low levels of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein and propionaldehyde.

Polyurethane foam-forming compositions, methods of producing polyurethane foams, polyurethane foams produced from such compositions made by such methods, as well as isocyanate-reactive compositions. The polyurethane foam-forming compositions include a polyisocyanate; a polyol blend, and a physical blowing agent composition. The polyol blend includes an aromatic amine-initiated polyether polyol having an OH number of at least 200 mg KOH/g and a functionality of at least 3, wherein (i) the aromatic amine-initiated polyether polyol having an OH number of at least 200 mg KOH/g is present in amount of at least 20% by weight, based on the total weight of polyol, and (ii) the polyol blend has a content of —C.sub.2H.sub.4O— units of 2 to 7% by weight, based on total weight of the polyurethane foam-forming composition. The physical blowing agent composition includes cis-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene and trans-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene.

A silane group-containing polymer obtained from reacting (i) an isocyanate group-containing polymer having an NCO content in the range of 0.3 to 4% by weight and a monomeric diisocyanate content of at most 0.3 wt. % obtained from the reaction of at least one monomeric diisocyanate with at least one polyether polyol in a molar NCO/OH ratio of at least 3/1 and subsequent removal of a major part of the unreacted monomeric diisocyanates by means of a suitable separation process, (ii) with at least one amino-, mercapto- or hydroxysilane in a stoichiometric ratio of at least 1 mole of amino-, mercapto- or hydroxysilane per mole equivalent of isocyanate groups.

A polyurethane composition is provided. The polyurethane composition comprises one polyisocyanate component comprising at least one aromatic polyisocyanate compound and/or isocyanate end-capped prepolymer formed by the reaction of said at least one aromatic polyisocyanate compound and at least one first polyol; at least one second polyol; and a crosslinker having at least one nitrogen atom and at least one secondary and/or tertiary hydroxyl group. The polyurethane product prepared by using the polyurethane composition can achieve improved operation time, aging resistance, weathering resistance, color stability, processability, and storage stability. A method for preparing the polyurethane product and a method for improving the performance property of the polyurethane product are also provided.
