A method, a kit and the use thereof are also disclosed.
Vegetable oil-modified, hydrophobic polyurethane dispersions
Aqueous hydrophobic polyurethane dispersions are made from urethane prepolymers derived from reacting constituents including at least one polyisocyanate, vegetable oil based saturated monoglycerides, non-isocyanate based urethane polyols prepared from polyamines and cyclic carbonates, at least one long-chain polymeric polyol or long-chain polyol from biorenewable resources, polyols with hydrophilic groups, optional polydimethysiloxane based polyols with hydroxyl functional groups terminated in one end and alkyl groups terminated in another end.
Two-component polyurethane adhesive
The present disclosure relates to a two-component polyurethane adhesive, based on a polyol component A and a polyisocyanate component B. The two-component polyurethane adhesive exhibits fast cure speed, good adhesion properties and good durability. The two-component polyurethane adhesive is developed for the adhesion adhesion of substrates, wherein the substrates are preferably selected from the group comprising sheet molding compounds (SMCs) and plastic substrates.
HIGH-ENERGY DENSITY SHAPE MEMORY POLYMERS USING STRAIN-INDUCED SUPRAMOLECULAR NANOSTRUCTURES
Periodic placement of directional dynamic bonding units along a flexible polymer backbone enables the formation of large supramolecular structures during strain. These structures, which form due to the alignment of stretched backbone chains, lock the stretched chains in their elongated state due to the formation of the directional dynamic bonds. Application of an appropriate stimulus (i.e., heat or light) weakens the dynamic bonds and enables the elongated chains to retract, performing measurable work and enabling the use of these structures as polymer actuators. Importantly, the high strength of the dynamic bonds enables a large amount of entropic energy to be stored in the elongated chains, enabling the polymer to achieve a large actuation force during recovery.
Process for seaming of artificial turf using low-pressure adhesives
The invention pertains generally to a low-pressure (100-250 psi) process of seaming adjacent seams of artificial turf using a one-component or a two-component polyurethane adhesive using an apparatus which employs a payoff spool of base material in the front of the apparatus and an activation trigger adjacent the handle to begin the application of polyurethane spray foam adhesive by connectivity between the application trigger and the foam spray gun trigger.
Two-component polyurethane adhesive composition and bonding method thereof
The present disclosure provides a two-component polyurethane adhesive composition and a bonding method thereof. The two-component polyurethane adhesive composition includes A) a polyol component, and B) an isocyanate component. The polyol component includes A1) one or more polyether polyols, and the isocyanate component includes B1) a first isocyanate prepolymer, wherein the first isocyanate prepolymer is polymerized from isocyanate and a non-linear chain extender. The two-component polyurethane adhesive composition of the present disclosure has good mechanical properties, in particular, high G modulus and high elongation. The polyol component in the two-component polyurethane adhesive composition has good phase stability, and good miscibility with the isocyanate component. The two-component polyurethane adhesive composition of the present disclosure can be used for the production and manufacture of mechanical parts such as automobile components.
