A flexible discontinuous process produces a series of at least two articles containing thermally insulating polyurethane foam from at least three streams (A), (B) and (C). The process involves mixing the at least three streams with different mixing ratios and injecting the mixture into cavities of the articles. A production unit can be used for performing this process.

A polyisocyanurate and/or polyurethane (PIR/PUR) comprising material having improved Flame, Smoke and/or Toxicity (FST) retardancy is disclosed and a method for forming said PIR/PUR comprising material. The PIR/PUR material is comprising at least 0.2 wt % of compounds having a number average equivalent weight <160 g/mol and at least one non-polymerized ethylenically unsaturated moiety based on the total weight of the PIR/PUR comprising material, and optionally 0.01 wt % up to 1 wt % of one or more radical initiator compounds based on the total weight of the PIR/PUR comprising material.

MOLDING MATERIAL AND FIBER REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL

The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a molding material from which a carbon fiber reinforced composite material having excellent impact resistance and tensile strength is obtained; and a molding material from which a glass fiber reinforced composite material, that has high bending strength and impact resistance, has excellent weather resistance, and can suppress a decrease in bending strength after water absorption, is obtained. Disclosed is a liquid, solvent free, moisture curable polyurethane adhesive composition comprising the reaction products of at least one polyoxypropylene polyol having a hydroxyl functionality of at least three and ethylene oxide end-capping with one or more polyisocyanates having a weight average isocyanate functionality of greater than 2.3. The adhesive composition has a long open time and rapid cure time compared to currently available adhesives. The polyoxypropylene polyol preferably has a number average molecular weight of from 3,000 to 8,000. The composition finds special use in panel lamination applications.

Acoustic dampeners, methods of making acoustic dampener, and uses thereof are described. The acoustic dampener includes a polymer foam article; and a metal-organic framework portion. The metal-organic framework portion comprises a metal-organic framework in a polymer matrix. The metal-organic framework portion is adhered to, or otherwise coupled to or included with, the polymer foam article. Such an acoustic dampener can be used in a computer equipment cabinet.

Also disclosed herein are a coating composition obtainable by mixing components (A) and (B), a method of using said coating composition as sealant, a method of applying the coating composition to a substrate, and a sealed substrate.

Polymer polyols (“PMPOs”), processes for their production, and the use of such PMPOs, particularly in the production of flexible polyurethane foams. The PMPOs are produced using an ethylenically unsaturated composition that includes a crosslinker that results in crosslinks in the PMPO polymer particles that may decompose when exposed to flame temperatures. The PMPOs is capable of providing a flexible polyurethane foam that may exhibit combustibility resistance properties.

The composite material is prepared from a component A and a component B in a weight ratio of 100:(20-50), where the component A includes 40-60 parts by weight of a vegetable oil-based polyol, 35-50 parts by weight of polyether polyol I, 0-10 parts by weight of polyether polyol II, 0.5-5 parts by weight of CBD, 0-5 parts by weight of a natural pigment, 0.5-3 parts by weight of silicon oil, 0-5 parts by weight of a cross-linking agent, 0.2-1 part by weight of a catalyst and 0.8-4 parts by weight of water, and the component B includes 20-50 parts by weight of modified methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI).
