ISOCYANURATE COMPOSITION
The isocyanate composition consists essentially of an isocyanurate derivative of 1,3-xylylenediisocyanate, the isocyanurate derivative is modified with aliphatic alcohol, and the modification amount of the aliphatic alcohol is 0.5 mass % or more and 15 mass % or less.
LAMINATE ADHESIVE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING LAMINATE FILM, LAMINATE FILM, AND RETORT POUCH MATERIAL
A laminate adhesive includes a curing agent including a polyisocyanate component and a main component including a polyol component, wherein the polyisocyanate component includes an isocyanurate derivative of xylylenediisocyanate, and in the chromatogram when the isocyanurate derivative of xylylenediisocyanate is subjected to gel permeation chromatograph measurement, the area percentage of a peak area having peak top between the polystyrene-based molecular weight of 400 to 1000 relative to the total peak area is 30% or more and 90% or less.
Semi-crystalline polyester polyol and method of making the same
Disclosed is a semi-crystalline polyester polyol having an acid number less than 4 and derived from a saturated fatty component having a hydroxyl number less than 2, the saturated fatty component being selected from the group consisting of saturated fatty acid, saturated fatty acid ester, saturated oil, and combinations thereof, polyhydric alcohol that includes at least three hydroxyl groups, and a dibasic acid.
HFCO-containing isocyanate-reactive compositions, polyurethane foams formed therefrom, and composite articles that include such foams
Isocyanate-reactive compositions, rigid polyurethane foam-forming compositions, rigid polyurethane foams, and methods for their production, and composite articles having a rigid polyurethane foam sandwiched between metal facer substrates. The rigid polyurethane foams are produced from an isocyanate-reactive composition comprising: (1) a polyol blend that includes an amine-initiated polyether polyol; (2) a hydrochlorofluoroolefin (HCFO); and (3) a catalyst that includes an arylalkyl tertiary amine, an aryl tertiary amine, or a mixture thereof. The foam can have excellent adhesion to metal substrates.

The polyurethane includes the reaction product of diisocyanate and a semi-crystalline polyester polyol having an acid number of less than 4 and including the reaction product of a saturated fatty component having a hydroxyl number less than 2, the saturated fatty component being selected from the group consisting of saturated fatty acid, saturated fatty acid ester, saturated oil, and combinations thereof, a polyhydric alcohol that includes at least three hydroxyl groups, and a dibasic acid.
Thermosetting coating composition with improved scratch resistance
This invention relates to aliphatic, carbamate-functional polyester resins for use in coatings. More particularly this invention relates to aliphatic, carbamate-functional polyester resins containing 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-1,3-cyclobutanediol (TMCD) that exhibit improved scratch resistance and acid etch resistance when formulated into 2K automotive clearcoats. These carbamate-functional polyesters can be used as the sole resin in the clearcoat binder or in combination with other carbamate-functional acrylic resins and/or hydroxyl-functional acrylic and polyester resins.

Nucleating agents for PIR foams
The present application provides foams having improved insulation and thermal performance and processes of forming said foams. Exemplary foams described herein are prepared according to a process comprising reacting a foamable composition comprising a blowing agent and one or more nucleating agents, under conditions effective to form the foam.
Low free polyurethane prepolymer composition
A polyurethane prepolymer composition may include more than 0 wt. % and less than 1.0 wt. % free diisocyanate monomer. The polyurethane prepolymer may include less than 80 wt. % of a 2:1 stoichiometric adduct of diisocyanate and at least one polyol (perfect prepolymer). Curable compositions may include such polyurethane prepolymer compositions and the such polyurethane prepolymer compositions may be used as adhesives.
