Two-component solvent-based coating composition, method for coating a substrate, coated substrate, and use of such coating composition for improving erosion resistance
The present disclosure relates to a two-component, solvent-based coating composition comprising i) a base component comprising one or more polyesterdiols with a hydroxyl value in the range of from 150 to 500 mg KOH/g and one or more organosilane-modified inorganic fillers, and ii) a polyisocyanate curing component. Said composition can be formulated such that it has a viscosity suitable for spray application (low viscosity under high shear rate) and yield coatings with very good erosion resistance. The present disclosure further relates to a method for coating a substrate using said two-component coating composition, to a coated substrate obtainable by such method, and to use of such coating composition for improving erosion resistance of a substrate.

A two-component mixed polyurea resin composition production raw material containing a component (A) that contains a polyisocyanate compound (a) and a component (B) that contains an aromatic polyamine compound (b), wherein the two-component mixed polyurea resin composition production raw material is characterized in that the usable time from immediately after component (A) and component (B) are mixed until the viscosity value measured in an organic-solvent-free state doubles is 10 minutes or longer.
Water-dispersible modified polyisocyanates
The invention relates to a water-dispersible modified polyisocyanate and use thereof, especially as a crosslinking component in water-soluble or water-dispersible coating compositions. The water-dispersible modified polyisocyanate can be obtained by the reaction of a system comprising a water-dispersible polyisocyanate and an isocyanate-reactive component; wherein the viscosity of the water-dispersible modified polyisocyanate is 3000 mPa.Math.s-11000 mPa.Math.s, which is measured with a MV-DIN rotor according to DIN EN ISO 3219:1994-10 at 23 C. and a shear rate of 10 s.sup.1. The modified polyisocyanate according to the present invention has good manual stirring behavior and good dispersibility, and the coating formed by the coating composition containing the modified polyisocyanate has high gloss and good transparency.
