Hydrophilic, alkoxysilane-containing isocyanurates
A coating or plastics formulation contains a reaction product of at least one alkoxysilane-containing isocyanurate of the formula (I) ##STR00001##
with at least one hydrophilizing agent of the formula BOH which has at least one OH group, wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 in each case independently of one another are a linear or branched and/or cyclic C1-C8 alkylene radical, R, R and R in each case independently of one another are a linear or branched and/or cyclic C1-C8 alkyl radical, and B is a hydrophilic radical.
ISOCYANATE-FUNCTIONALIZED ORGANOSILANES AS ADHESION PROMOTERS IN SEALANT AND PRIMER COMPOSITIONS
Disclosed herein is a method of sealing a substrate optionally including a step (1) of applying a primer composition, and including a step (2) of applying a sealant composition, which is obtained by mixing components (A) and (B) of a 2K-sealing system with each other, where an organosilane constituent including at least one hydrolyzable group X, at least one NCO-group and a spacer unit including a moiety MS including in turn at least one sulfur atom and being positioned between X and the NCO-group, is at least present. Further disclosed herein are a sealed substrate obtained by this method, a method of using the organosilane constituent for adhesion enhancement, a sealant composition, a 2K sealing system, and an organosilane constituent.
Use of phosphonic acid diesters and diphosphonic acid diesters and thermally curable mixtures containing phosphonic acid diesters and diphosphonic acid diesters
Disclosed herein is a thermally curable mixture, comprising at least one phosphonic diester (A), at least one diphosphonic diester (A), or at least one phosphonic diester and at least one diphosphonic diester (A); and at least one compound (B) which can be reacted by transesterification, transamidation, self-condensation of N-hydroxyalkylamino groups, self-condensation of N-alkoxyalkylamino groups, transacctalization of N-alkoxyalkylamino groups, acctalization of N-hydroxyalkylamino groups, or a combination thereof. Also disclosed is a process for making the thermally curable mixture, and a cured material comprising the product of thermally curing the mixture.
HYDROPHILICALLY MODIFIED POLYISOCYANURATE PLASTIC AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present invention relates to novel modified polyisocyanurate plastics obtainable by catalytic trimerization of a composition A), wherein the composition A) comprises oligomeric modified polyisocyanates B) that are a reaction product of an oligomeric polyisocyanate B1) and at least one functionalizing reagent B2) reactive toward isocyanate groups, where the composition A) has a content of monomeric diisocyanates of not more than 20% by weight and where the at least one functionalizing reagent B2) reactive toward isocyanate groups has at least one functional group reactive toward isocyanate groups which is not an isocyanate group. The invention further relates to the process from which the polyisocyanurate plastics of the invention are obtainable, to the use of the polyisocyanurate plastics of the invention for production of coatings, films, semifinished products, composites and moldings, and to substrates coated with such a coating.
HYDROPHOBICALLY MODIFIED POLYISOCYANURATE PLASTIC AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF
The invention relates to novel modified polyisocyanurate plastics, obtainable by means of catalytic trimerization of a composition (A), wherein the composition (A) contains oligomeric, modified polyisocyanates (B), which represent a reaction product from an oligomeric polyisocyanate (B1) and at least one functionalization reagent (B2) which is reactive to isocyanate groups, wherein the composition (A) comprises a content of monomeric diisocyanates of 20 wt % at maximum and wherein the at least one functionalization reagent (B2) which is reactive to isocyanate groups has at least one relative functional group which is reactive to isocyanate groups and which is not an isocyanate group. The invention further relates to the method by which the polyisocyanurate plastics according to the invention are obtainable, to the use of the polyisocyanurate plastics according to the invention for producing coatings, films, semi-finished products, composite materials and molded parts, and substrates coated by such a coating.
POLYISOCYANURATE PLASTIC CONTAINING SILOXANE GROUPS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF
The invention relates to novel polyisocyanurate plastics containing siloxane groups, which are obtainable by a method comprising the following steps: al) providing a composition A), which contains i) oligomeric polyisocyanates B) and compounds containing silicon C) or ii) contains oligomeric silicon-modified polyisocyanates D); or iii) contains oligomeric silicon-modified polyisocyanates D) and oligomeric polyisocyanates B); or iv) contains oligomeric polyisocyanates B), compounds containing silicon C) and modified oligomeric polyisocyanates D); or v) contains compounds containing silicon C) and silicon-modified, oligomeric polyisocyanates D); a2) catalytic trimerization of the composition A); wherein the composition A) has a content of monomer diisocyanates of 20 wt % at maximum. The invention further relates to the method by which the polyisocyanurate plastics according to the invention are obtainable, to the use of the polyisocyanurate plastics according to the invention for producing coatings, films, semi-finished products, and molded parts, and to substrates coated by such a coating.
ADHESION PROMOTER FOR COATING COMPOSITIONS SUITABLE FOR PRODUCING SURFACER COATS
The present invention relates to a mixture (M) which can be used as curing agent and as adhesion promoter and which comprises at least two components (M1) and (M2), which are different from one another and have in each case independently of one another free and/or blocked isocyanate groups, and which optionally comprises a further component (M3) different from (M1) and (M2); component (M1) comprises at least one aliphatic polyisocyanate, and component (M2) comprises at least one aliphatic polyisocyanate having polyether units, wherein the relative weight ratio of (M1) and (M2) in (M) to one another is in a range from 25:1 to 3:1, based in each case on the solids content of (M1) and (M2), and at least one of the components (M1), (M2), and optionally (M3) present in (M) has hydrolyzable silane groups, to a use of (M) as curing agent and adhesion promoter in a coating composition, to such a coating composition, and to methods for at least partly coating a substrate with a surfacer coat and for at least partly coating a substrate with a multicoat paint system.
